I received my Speedtech stage 3 kit two weeks ago and started installation proccess last Saturday. I am very happy with this kit all parts great quality and attention to details. After reading all the information online and been in contact with Jeff almost a year since he was testing this kit in his F30 335i RWD with EFR7670 Borg Warner.
In Feb 2017 I sent an email explaining that I prefer to sacrifice spool for extra 50-60hp on top and that only could be achieve with EFR8374 as is same size frame, by that time my car runs 11.8@119mph with PS2.
I think a few cars are running this Speedtech kit on xdrive and F series ... next weekend we will finish installation and begin to make some test, logs and comparisons.
I only had to say great things about PURE TURBOS they stg 2 is amazing and great upgrade up to 495whp xdrive in hot weather but now for me I want more
Also one thing that always was around my head was why N54 produce 40hp more with almost same mods than N55 but after you check bmw turbofold on N55 you understand that you are running with 4.5cyl instead of 6cyl.

xdrive on F series is same as X5 ( +800lbs ) We will see soon

Was it a pain in the arse to install and did they have to take the sub frame down to do it?

Have to drop the sub frame on the F or E series or both ?Was hoping not at least on the F series

I think you can do it dropping or not I’m either. If you don’t drop you have to do it in 2 pieces. I would drop it though

No dropping subframe.
No disassembly front axle.
We are going to mount from top, first enter turbo to engine bay then install wg actuator/base, then install manifold, then fit turbo to manifold.
We will need to relocate water pump after that.
You could do it either way.

picture is very poor example. The exterior of oem turbofold is a head shield. The internal clamshell is the actual manifold. Need to go look at cut aways

Looks good, I'm definitely interested in seeing if anyone has boost creep issues with the internal waste gate like CES had on the N54.

I think that if .BMW did it this way it would.be more.powerful than the B58 motored 340i without question and give the M3/M4 problems. They purposely underpowered the 335i with this mani and turbo in my opinion because of the M cars.

If you look at the B58 exh mani it almost looks a little similar to the speedtech mani even though it is a turbofold it is a much better designed one than it's BMW counterpart N55 garbage turbofold.

Your speedtech setup looks like a thing of beauty!

I would be surprised if that was the case with the size of thatT4 borg warner turbine housing plus I think it has a 1.05 AR TS housing at that.
