Default 1st log with JB4. Advice welcomed!! - 10-09-2019, 10:00 PM

NOTE: I posted this thread in the JB4 Mobile section and thought maybe best to have it under support. So if you see this thread twice, my apologies.

So I put the JB4 on my 08' 535I about two weeks ago and it was sweet. Slight increase in the pants dyno. I knew I was missing something though. Just wasn't giving more than about 11-12 PSI in map 1 and Map 2, although the target was about 15-16 PSI, was only getting about 11-12 still. Found a small leak at the CP/diverter valve connection (twist connection was, well, not twisted). Fixed that and again, same results. Added some VP racing Maditive and was running about 95 octane in MAP 2 for about 60 miles but didn't really have any noticeable effect.
I could hear a slight hissing when building boost as I approached the 3-5 and up PSI mark coming from the left side of the engine compartment. Almost the same type sound of my diverters when they blow off to atmosphere. (Did the 2$ diverter mod and capped the 2 intake ports so I could hear built boost for assurance I had some lol). I have checked everything I can but think at this point just going to put the Burger CP with TIAL BOV kit on and hope that takes care of what I'm hearing and not feeling. The stocker CP will blow/crack/leak soon anyways, if it doesn't already that is.
As far as my log goes. I didn't have the space to rev out 3rd all the way but hope it's enough to see if I have a problem elsewhere that I may not be looking at. Once the new CP/BOV is on this weekend and the hissing is gone I'll log again. Am curious though if all else seems ok thus far.

Thanks and any/all experienced advice is very helpful and appreciated!

First- welcome.

Based on the log provided- I don’t see much evidence of a leak...bumping up to the next map may reveal one, but based on this log- im not seeing it (FF / WGDC look ok).

A couple things I’d recommend- updating to our latest firmware, enable 6cyl logging & if you have a means of flashing- I’d do our pump BEF.

All the info you could possibly need is in our sticky’s

Thanks Dave! I tried Map 2 but got near the same results. The target numbers were still on the low side. I'll do as you suggested though for sure. Will the pump BEF help me much? I'm doing it anyways but curious the largest benefits.

Thanks again!

Perfect. I'll move ahead and do that. I'll check the forums on how to do it. Your talking about the BMS pump flash, not the MHD flash correct?

Thanks

Thanks again. However, do I need to use something other than the JB4 unit to load the pump flash? Been looking this info up this morning and I'm still not positive I know the answer.

Oh crap, I do have two quick questions that do pertain to above. If I do the free BMS pump back end flash, can I still use 95-96 octane? And, lastly I promise, can I still use the MHD add on maps later on as well? For burble, etc. Or, maybe I should just do a cam in my engine so it's a real burble and not a digital copy lol.

Thanks again!

Thanks Mr Dave!! I'll be ordering the MHD cable necessary to flash the pump tune today. Looks like I'll have to wait a bit for the new WIFI connection so cable will do.
I'm going to post another log from today as I think my timing is weird.

Thanks again!
