Default P112F code. Stage 1 related? - 09-25-2019, 06:37 AM

2017 X3 35i. Only mods are a BMS Stage 1 and aFe drop in. It randomly popped a CEL yesterday. Code shows P112F, with is a MAP code. P112F Manifold Absolute Pressure to Throttle Angle Too High Bank 1: Code Meaning, Causes, Symptoms, Tech Notes
Any chance this is being caused by the S1? I already pulled it for tomorrowís dealer appointment, but I donít want them to test the MAP and it show that itís good. The MAP is the one on the manifold with the brown wires, right? Can it be tested?

Now looking even more related to the S1. Removed it yesterday, today there’s no CEL. The code is saved, but the light turned off.

Could be tuning related, it's one of those false alarm codes you'd usually ignore but if it's coming up often enough we may need to do some tuning changes for you on it.

Thanks Terry.

Dealer blamed the aFe drop in. Gave me the BS that aftermarket filters change the airflow, so unless I let them put in a stock one, and the light comes back, they can't diagnose it.
$180 later, I'm stock with no answers.

Yeah, they blamed the drop in filter. I hate this dealer. Very mod unfriendly. Unfortunately, they own the three closest dealers.

Really wish I would have kept my SEMA Card (I’m no longer a SAN rep, so I don’t have one). Then at least I could have tried pushing Mag-Moss. Without it though I wouldn’t be taken seriously, and would have probably burnt bridges, so it wasn’t worth it.

Nah, they won’t flag it. Flagging a lease is screwing themselves on resale. I let them put the stock filter in, and it’s over.

Came back today. I’ll put the stock stuff back on and bother the dealer on Monday. It needs a new MAP sensor I think.

Its definitely not the filter, the Stage 1 or anything aftermarket. I just left it at the dealer, bone stock. They say the mixtures are all messed up in addition to the code. Got a stupid Altima rental. They better fix whatever the problem is, because this thing is rattly, underpowered and stripped.

3 cars I have, and the only one thats working is the cheapest one.
