Hi all,

I've read many meth threads in the forum here - many of which are getting dated. I wanted to get the latest status of opinion and options.

I'm looking at the BMS WMI kit.
My largest challenge is currently where to mount the meth tank.
I'll be targetting 50/50, water/meth, for 'stability'.

I'm OK with a 1/2 gallon tank and filling more frequently.
I like the 'under the hood' option for (perceived) simplicity.
A lot of what I read, the trunk is preferred - perhaps the largest reason is to avoid hydro-locking the pump if the water/meth boils.

My car is an E93, N54, 335i, Convertible (less trunk than E90/91/92)

I'd love to see any pictures.
If it has to be the trunk, where to people with the E93 mount? Is there a document showing where to run the fuel lines? (driver side, but where?)

Convertible is always hard . Take some photos of trunk with the top down so we can see what we're working with LOL.

A few questions if I may?

1. Size and source of tank?
2. Where did you run your lines? (Pictures by chance?)
3. Tilts forward into the interior of the car for filling?

Your car seat must be front facing! Mine are still rear, and only fit in my wife's car.

1. It's the 1 gallon tank that comes with the default BMS Meth Kit.
2. I ran my lines along the driver side. I followed a DIY that I found on this site. I'll try and find it and post the link.
3. No, I put the top 1/2 way down where the trunk is tilted up and the top is out of the way. I then open the back door and tilt the tank back and fill that way.

Your fill setup... doesn't work so well in winter I guess, as it's rough to put the top down? Or do you still manage to squeak in there through the trunk?

I used it to figure out my line routing and connections.

You're right, in the winter it would be difficult. But in general my car sleeps through the winter. If I really needed it, I'm sure I could get the tank refilled. In fact, I just picked up one of these to make it easier for me to add E85 out of 5 gallon cans to my car.

This would do the job handily, I'm sure. I've also seen these even cheaper at Harbor Freight.
