Same here unless I take my cars to the track, and in that case I like to use Pennzoil ultra platinum 0w-40.

Yes it's going to be a busy week. Customer also dropped off a C63 AMG we've been wanting to make a JB4 for.

Took a short drive in it. Pretty sweet car. Tucked it away in the garage until I can wrap up the C63 but poking around under the hood, I can see the TMAP sensors are super easy to reach. Always good news.

Making good progress on the CANbus programming but haven't been able to do many WOT pulls.

Interestingly before I even started working on the car yesterday it sputtered and stalled out at low speed, like it ran out of gas but had plenty. I coasted home down the street, read the codes with a BavTech, high fuel pressure system low. Turned car off and back on again, and it came back to life. When the motor stalls out it shifts itself in to neutral which is pretty handy. Anyway put it in the garage and I've been working on it via the OBDII port ever since. About done and then I'll try to get some 100% stock baseline dragy tests. If it craps out again back to the dealer for a new fuel pump I guess. It has around 75miles on it so if something isn't right from the factory this is normally when it gives out.

Super annoying considering it's all stock. But glad something came up now before I started taking it apart to install parts! Just hope I don't get stranded with it lol.

High pressure code has hit a lot of new M5’s. You program needs to be updated to 530 or higher. Should have been done at the dealer before you picked it up. Slackers. It will continue to happen until reprogrammed.

Makes sense. Took the wife and kid out for a drive today and car stalled out on the freeway, lol. Luckily after I coasted through traffic to the shoulder I was able to get it restarted and home to switch for another car.

Got CANbus up and running and have some good data. If anyone has an F90, enjoys R&D type stuff, and wants to start having some fun just email me.

Didn't make much progress on the C63 tuning. A rat in my driveway chewed through an o2 sensor, lol. I was able to get the CANbus going though and spec out the harness.
