thanks

curious what weight you are using and what sort of ambient temps you see where you live?

we see 5 degree lows in winter 30+ degree highs in summer Celsius

some days we see closer to zero and in the summer 45+ sometimes but those are extremes

I'm using 0w-40 penzoil euro formula it hold up pretty good, doesn't seem to burn as quick and it's still pretty clean..

Motul 8100 X-Cess 5w40, very similar to the 300v, a lot cheaper.

I'm in Dallas TX. It's pretty warm here. Winter we may see high teens and summer 106ish. So far it's been in the 90's but I generally don't drive the car too hard when the temps are hot out.. I usually try not to even be out if I don't have to lol

I'm near Dallas as well, we seem to have somewhat similar ranges in temperature than were you live.

I put a link in my original comment for the Amsoil, its 5w40. Pay for membership $16/year you'll get good discount.
