Not having any luck with the wiring, everything works fine except the JB4 side of things. That is to say, I've wired up the relay to the solenoid, with everything connected except the ground. If I close ground manually to the frame the solenoid fires, but when the JB4 setup is attached to the relay's ground and map 20 is coming up on the laptop logging I get nothing.

My setup from the JB4:

-wire from JB4 soldered to one end of resistor, other end of resistor soldered to first pin on digikey semiconductor.
-middle pin on semi-conductor soldered to wire going to ground post on relay
-last pin on resistor soldered to wire going to chassis ground

I thought maybe my wires were too thin so I just re-did the whole setup with 16ga wire but still no luck. I did a voltmeter test, and when map 20 is on there is current coming out of the JB4 (250mv?) but it drops a ton after the resistor. I'm wondering if maybe I bought the wrong resistor, it's listed as 1k ohms but I don't remember the watts.

I was tempted to just wire it up to a switch in the cabin to see what the nitrous did, but I would really like to have it tied to the JB4.

Anyone have any ideas on what I'm doing wrong, or something I can test to try and zero in on the problem?

Do you need a 4 or 5 pin automotive relay ?

And I'm just a little confused on the wiring side of the relay. Can anyone give in better detail which post connects to what on the relay ?

I just used a standard guide to wire the relay, just do a Google search as most automotive 30 AMP relays work the same. Worst case just use some alligator clip wires to test it out and you can see for yourself how it operates, it's pretty basic.

The part I could never get to work right is the JB4 trigger wire using the semi-conductor to close the ground portion of the relay. Until the BT board comes out I'm not running nitrous, since myst has a BT board hopefully that is soon. I had assumed Shiv would be into the 10s already, would be pretty funny if a FBO+Meth+Nitrous 335xi beat him to it

Has anyone tested and proven this to work yet? How did you set up your JB4 methanol tab in the software? I'm thinking a simple old boost switch from ebay would be just as effective.

Do you leave the 2 step as is and change nos solenoid ground to / step only?
Do you use 2 step clutch wire straight to solenoid and other side if solenoid ground?
Or???

Bumping this for a quick question. If you position 7 for n2o integration then you lose No lift shift and 2step correct?

Terry will this stop nitrous from flowing between shifts? I have the two step relay and typically do not let off the gas between gears

Once you get it wired up send a log and let's evaluate. It's been awhile since I looked at the N20 logic carefully!
