Those are also great numbers! What fuel are you using?

Man, I feel like the post-Police tonight but...

I’ve had the car less than a week, I’m still getting the hang of it lol. Who did the tunes on your buddy? I’m afraid to void my warranty.

I'm not sure who you're responding to?

If you're concerned about the warranty, then I'm afraid to say you're entering into some rough territory. It's a real-enough concern. That said, Piggybacks like the JB4 are the closest to avoiding these concerns but by no means immune.

See here for the JB4 potential: https://f90.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...&postcount=135

10.09 verified and 10.06 barely over slope with a 2.54 0-60... that car is amazing! LMAO... I know it's me..

Thanks Terry for all the help! JB4 is a beast!

Care to share those jb4 settings? When I get that close there goes the passenger seat.

Sure, I could have taken out the seats and gotten there. Or just a few more tweaks and or something as simple as air pressure. I just decided I was close enough and don't want to risk it any further. It's pretty solid accomplishment as it is. Especially in such a short amount of time without a proper surface.

Giving you my settings would not help you at all. You really have to start low and work your way up slowly while going over logs with the help of Terry. I wouldn't feel comfortable giving them to you and feeling somewhat responsible if something went wrong. Each car is different, which mods you or I are using is different, gas is different as is the DA.

Well my approach has been low oxygen high octane fuel and throw as much boost as jb4 will allow, your method is hands down gonna be safer than mine. I’ve only had it a few days so I’m still getting the hang of it, but with the race fuel I’ve been experimenting with map 6 and it’s only been getting faster and faster. I’m in south Florida and some of my testing has been in 70 degree weather, so the next few weeks as the cold comes I really will have a chance to see what it can do.

Without mods you definitely can't use my setup. Terry and I did a decent amount of testing and logging along with a specific firmware to fit my car/year/model/mods.

Take your time

Crazy times! Post the slips up here for posterity when you can. For the record he's using a customized additive map. Not that much different than our current map2 actually. But with a little more boost added and duty bias setting customized.

That’s crazy fast. I need a map 2 like that for next weeks drag racing. I’d be happy with something faster than 10.5 (currently 10.816 @ 132.5mph map1 with race gas at the drag strip) I just wanna say I have a low 10 seconds daily driver.

I have only the JB4 and BMS filters. I ran this on a farm road and got air a couple of times; 92 octane pump gas with 1oz per gallon of octane booster supposedly yielding 94.5 octane.

I'd expect to run in the 10.2s on a properly flat surface with the same fuel on map 6. I've never tried race gas in this car so I can't comment as to its impact but I'd expect to shave another 1/10th

My jabs aside: I don't think we've ever discussed the why but my launches are substantially better than yours off of the line, specifically 0-30mph and 60ft. Combine my 60ft/0-30mph and your car's brute force, you'd be there (9s). What's your tire setup and running pressure?

I ran ms109 at the drag strip on map 2 and 5 but my car didnít like it. It was actually slower. Just waiting for the higher map tweaks so I can get some better times in.

You don't need the tweaks unless you have a 2020 Comp or custom setup that goes as far as Flatline's. My numbers are just map 6 numbers tweaked through trial and error--you can do the same (at your own risk). I did need new firmware but that was a map 6 + 2020 Comp issue that Terry resolved quickly.

This is how Flatline and I started with his car. Use a legitimate/proven octane booster plus your pump gas and begin figuring out a map 6 that works for you. This isn't some race setup I use, this is my daily driver setup and it's able to pull sub-2.7s 0-60s consistently and sub 10.4 1/4 miles *most* of the time.

Just FYI that was map6 on MS109.

I did run a 10.15 on map2 with 97 octane but I have intake, exhaust, and **'s

10.3 - 10.5s are doable with as Limey said. So much depends on the DA and outside temp as well.

Ö and that map 2 was short-lived in that Terry dialed it back down if memory serves.

@yellowssm: Take a look at your low-end launch numbers and 60ft, too.

I was running 34psi Michelin PS4S: 275/30/21 Ė 295/30/21
I'm sure lowering it would help. I was getting a good amount of spin in first gear. I just didn't want to keep making more runs and risking my car any further. I know I could easily reach 9s with a little better DA, a tune tweak, taking out a seat or less gas, or even air pressure. It's just not worth it at some point. I was surprised I was 2.50 - 2.55 on all 4 runs even with all the spin in first gear. I did try one run with 1st gear boost reduction but it didn't help. I need to do a burnout first or get on a real track with some traction

I posted my slips in post 493. Terry said it was pulling timing and they are going to tweak maps. I have a 19 comp package btw

Thatís one for the maps you have to adjust yourself or can I just use that if I run race gas?
