Default Switch from positap to obd2 connector - 11-30-2021, 01:31 PM

I have a 2013 X5 with the N55 motor. I have the Positap connection under the hood right now. I would like to know if I can use the OBD2 connector instead. here is the one I would buy.

It says it is for the F chassis. I sent an email to support and asked if I could use that but never got an answer to that. They said I could solder the wires instead of using the positaps, I just don't want to tie into the wires like that. thanks

Yes, you can do that if you prefer that method.

I might try it thanks. I did finally get 2 different answers from customer support on it. Ando said no it wont work, Terry said the steering wheel controls would defiantly not work, but the rest might, or might not he didn't know.

I was mainly wanting to go that way so I knew I had a good connection, as I am having a hard time getting my hands in there to make the connection with the posi-tap. That and I wouldn't have to tap the wires....
