Default Full weight RB'd E90 goes 10.94@130 - 10-30-2015, 07:26 AM

A good night at the track and finally a 10 slip.. Car ran well all night, the temperature out was higher than I wanted right around 68-70 with a DA of 1467 so not ideal.

Let me start with some notes about my setup. Very easy setup that most can do simply because it is the regular RB's (old school ones). Like most I am a FBO (mods are in sig). I run an E60 E85 blend. JB4 G5 with the Hybird turbo tune via MHD.

Things I do not have that most others do not have also. I do not have Port injection, I do not have LSD. I am just an older model RWD 10/06 build 2007 E90 125k miles on the car modded for a good 80K or so miles. The RB's that I have in the car have probably 25k of use on them now and they flat out perform.

The regular RBs can produce very very well 128-130 traps are moving. Terry's latest firmware and Hybird tune has made a tremendous difference too.

This makes me very happy, I also have RBs and will be hitting the track soon. I will have an LSD installed and port injection. This gives me hope that I will be able to get into the mid 10's!

Very impressive Dorsey. Nearly 300lbs heaver than the 1 series counterpart (with less mods) and doing it about the same! On old skool RB's and a 125k mile N54 nonetheless!! Well dialed in but without upping the launch game (easier said than done keeping your car as is) this is about the best one can expect without more power.

So let's hope the Super RB Stealths arriving today put you into the "My AT needs new gears club"

He has an extra 270lbs from a full weight E90 which is likely helping out with the 60'… not much anyone where else though lol.

Do not want to burst the bubble, but do not see Mid 10's without a lot of weight reduction! That or cutting 1.5sec 60ft times somehow. One of our new higher horsepower options will be needed to get to that level.

always good to hear that a fairly high mileage car is still going strong. Gives me confidence in mine. 10's! Nice one.

My burnouts are not the greatest as in I dont smoke the tires out where there is smoke billowing everywhere but I believe i do more than enough to heat them up. I put it in M1 hold brake peddle mash the gas till tires start to spin left off brake hold rpm up to 5k or so then mash a little more let it shift to 2nd then she starts to pull and let it go from there.

The launch is all feel but I stomp on the brake give it gas till car wants to lurch which is around the 2k area 2200 or so.

I still launch in 1st my car seems to like it most I tried 2nd gear launches and they netted 2 11.2 passes also car would kill power like i had a 2 step or something if i really tried to step on the gas to boost it, It was weird to say the least 1.9+ 60s so I went back to 1st gear launches.

Another solid night for Dorsey's car. Quickest E90 335i sedan dragtimes and only one 335i quicker overall. This is a TRUE full weight car. It weighed 3730 at the track with driver and 1/4 tank of fuel. It is nearly 300 lbs heavier than some of the recent 10 second 135i's! Only light weight mod is 17" Apex Arc-8s which drop about 30-35 lbs over factory wheels. No fancy billet wheel turbos here either. Just basic cast wheel RBs. All this with a DA in the 1400s. We didn't aggressively cool down the car either. Didn't even pop the hood. No ice down, etc. We tried to give it about 30-40 minutes in between passes.

I have no doubt we could have pulled out front passenger and rear seats and set the all time record. Unfortunately as the night went on the times slipped back into the 11.0x range. It was near 100% humidity and there was moisture down the track making traction difficult further down the track. He even hotlapped a pass back to back and it still ran an 11.0x. Couldn't be happier for my buddy!

He's on 275/40/17 NT05Rs. I have the regular NT05's too and there is a night and day difference in the grip of the R version. They are way better.
