Default change low fuel pressure sensor.. - 05-24-2013, 06:47 PM

What's going on fellas name is Jose from Cali with 09 535i love the car! Mods only dci and jb4. I got a code about my sensor so I just got the part..curious is their a DIY? Ill be honest not to familiar with BMW's...I did do the dci and jb4 which wasn't hard...how hard is this? Better to have a shop do it? Also when I look things up with this issue I see something about recall on our cars with this or HFPF or something like that..what's the recall for? Thanks for the helps guys please be easy as I am a newb!

I found these threads useful:

I did not remove the intake. It is very helpful to make the tool to remove the black box. Just get a peace of hard metal and bend it with heat. You can also try to bend a screwdriver to make the tool. Here are the steps i made:

- Disconnect the battery (just in case)
- Remove DCI's, the cowl etc.
- Remove the engine cover
- Remove the charge pipe
- Remove the throttle body
- Remove the black box using the selfmade tool
--> Now you can see the sensor
- Remove the sensor using 24mm wrench (not tight)
- Change the sensor
- Put everything back

Hope you found this useful!
