Max 1000HP at the crank was his estimate iirc. I think that is a little high but who knows.

Release date is really the end of January of 2018 when he will have significant quantities to sell. Nice to see a vendor not take presales months(or years) before a product is released.

Wow those manifolds look huge.

Can we get a shot of the manifold, with turbo off, looking at the collector/turbine inlet?

+1 on details

Mauricio is really messing up my plans to go single turbo. Lol.

Looks just like the GC line that's been out for a while now plus some custom stamping. Looking forward to seeing how these perform though, and how much MMP will undercut the competition on pricing.

Nice to see more big cast twins arriving.

Can these be set up to spool to simulate a linear power band to help with traction issues due to the torque lump? If so, basically negates the benefit of going single.

How much airflow can actually be gained by big runners like that ? Port size is still unchanged. I would think to get gains you would have to port the head on the exhaust side and the manifold to take advantage of that ?

Larger exhaust manifold runners should provide some benefit, although porting the exhaust Ports to match the size of the runner would be even more beneficial.

You can't be serious. I can immediately see differences between the two vendors. The top portion manifold is a completely different design. The MMP's are rounded and larger. The VTT are cast from the Boysen double walled and has the OEM shape which is flat on top. The MMP's have a smaller Vband clamp that looks standard. The VTT uses a custom clamp that is large and bulky. The MMP bottom portion of the exhaust turbine exits is solid and machined out to the ******** flange. The VTT one is similar to the OEM one . And then I can see the custom MMP stamps

I thought I saw him comment on pricing. I would have sworn he mentioned the price and said there was not going to be any discount so don't ask.

Like I said, essentially the same design, that will produce the same power, being released over a year later at nearly the same price point. Don't get me wrong, I like competition, but this is nothing new and it doesn't look like this is going to be any cheaper.

Jesus, 3500? Should be more in the 25-2700 ballpark unless it comes with inlets, outlets, and install kit, and full coating.

No $3500 starting, everything else you’ve mentioned will be extra I believe.

$3500 is the correct starting price for the new setup, $600 for the Manifold if just buying them. The known stock manifold bottleneck is 1.2" and the new manifold has a 2.0" opening really freeing up the restriction. Plenty of pics on the MMP Enthusiasts facebook page

Any news on when these will be released?

Nice pics - thanks

They do look good, and I really like the idea of the huge 2" opening ... although curious what effect it would have on time-to-spool, and off-boost responsiveness/behavior.

For the record, these are very different than the VTT GC/lite line.

You can always detune but isn't that losing the benefit of twin turbos.

Don't think requesting more power than is possible to hold to the ground at 2000rpm is actually a benefit. Folks talk about spinning all the way through the first three gears like its a badge of honor. It's inefficient and slow. Insert tired cliché here.

Anyway. On with this ****tease of a thread. Interested in what my $3500 might get me that's different from any of the other $3500 turbos out there. Don't give a rats ass about special designs if they are unsubstantiated.

2000rpm is typical for 6th gear and I've never had a spinning problem there.
