I have a larger black and smaller black wire in the box. I beleive the rpm is the solid smaller black wire. Will look at pin 9 on obd. Tmap signal wire is solid yellow and I have located that in the DME aswell. Worried this might be for another connector

Back at this again. Car ran really well. ***** acknowledged me to switch to e85 and take a log. He asked if the PI is firing. Going to check the voltage on the signal wire and find out what itís doing with a computer hooked up to the controller. One thing that baffles me is that during the log you see the rail psi drop to 2100, stfts maxed, and then I change gears and boom it held steady. Will report back.

2011 335i, Pure 2, PI. I had an accident a while back. Putting things back together. The PI puts out fuel to the max. Wiring visually is ok. Any ideas appreciated.

Check your muffler bearings.

Actually, when I tried to remove the JB4 while the meth pump was still connected, it turned on full and couldn't turn it off. I'd suggest you double check you meth pump relay wiring.

Running flash tune, 50% e85, no meth. Per Steve Jenkins it is most likely an issue on the RPM wire. Will report back.

I may change out the muffler bearings proactively soon as the car has 70 k miles.

So it turned out that the program likely was corrupted when I had my accident. Reflashed, all bueno. Likely happened due to a power surge when the air bags deployed.

According to my records when I last had an alignment the muffler bearings were changed out under a BMW recall.

Hey, I've recently installed the phoenix racing intake with PI, BMS PI controller hooked up to JB4 with ethanol sensor. I've re-checked my work of hooking all the wires up to the right place, changed JB4 settings to the suggested in various threads - Fuelen does register, so thats good. But, I am not getting ethanol content readings on Duty Cycle after setting FUA to 58, and moving the ethanol sensor pin to port 3 on the db25 plug. I noticed that E85 signal does read as climbing along with Fuelen. Am I misunderstanding what should be displayed in which?

I'll upload a pic of the db25 in the JB4 to double check that was done correctly, and the other thing I was doubting is whether this black-grey-ish wire was the RPM wire shortly.

Attached is the latest logs while trying to see if anything is functioning as intended. In map 4 and 1, using e40.

Any thoughts on what I could have missed would be greatly appreciated.

I too have wondered about the injectors. What makes you think they need cleaning?

The mix I put through mine(25%water/ 75%meth) come from a sterile container, then through a 10micron filter. No contaminants will get to the injectors or pass through them. The BMS PI kit includes 6x550cc Deatchwerks top feed injectors build to handle methanol duty so nothing's going to break down over time like O-rings or seals. If you were to say, using them with an E85/E90 mix, you may have reasons for concern.

I'm using the Jb4 port injection controller and BMP port injection rail. I just want to make sure I'm understanding this correctly. So the port injection should be set low enough that it doesn't make fuel trims go negative, but high enough that the car doesn't lean out? Am I understanding this correctly? I'm new to the tuning side of things so any information helps. Thanks!

Power

For the power wire, we prefer to use the following power source for both the BMS and the Split Second controller.

The BMS and Split Second ground wire has a ring terminal and can be run to the strut tower where you can remove one of the nuts, slide the ring terminal on, put the nut back on, and tighten it down.

RPM Connection
(Note: Do not select the large black wire by accident...you can see it in the background of the picture. You must select the solid black (or dark gray) wire that is the same size as the majority of wires in that bundle)

To view a recording:
-Select "View"
-Select "View Recordings"
-Select the file in your drop down window

Quick question for anyone running direct port meth injection with JB4/FSB combo. I'm tuning the FSB with the JB4's 'Fuel Bias' column under settings. Looking at my pull logs, should Fuel En and WMI Flow roughly follow each other? Should I be trying to overlay their plot lines?
Also, What do your guys' plugs look like when you change them(after running methanol/water)?
