Hi all,

I've been lurking around here for over 3 years and finally decided to register because the info and engagement here is marvelous.

I bought an E60 535i in February after researching the N54 for over 4 years. My other 2 cars are an E34 M5 Touring and an E30 M3. I've always been a naturally aspirated kinda guy but I just had to experience the N54 and I am not in the least bit disappointed.

I knew that for the N54 to provide me with reliable service I would have to factor in the following to the purchase price cost:

1. Low side fuel pump
2. High pressure fuel pump
3. Index 12 injectors
4. New valve cover
5. Water pump and thermostat
6. Serpentine belt and all rollers
7. Oil filter housing gaskets.
8. Plugs and coils.
9. Expansion tank.
10. Coolant hoses...and a few other bits here and there.

The car has been a blast all the way and has provided me with reliable service.....I travel a lot, Sometimes my trips take me over 3000km and I needed to ensure I wouldn't be stranded anywhere.

I've learnt so much from this forum and wish to thank you all for helping me with my journey. My car will always be a work in progress and I have a lot more planned for it ( though, my wife doesn't know this part ). Will keep you all posted once I make a move on JB4ing the car !

If you stay on top of all the maintenance with the N54 it will serve you very well. They'll take abuse all day long when you take care of them!

You're gonna love the power potential. Also, the E60 chassis handles extremely well for its size. Welcome aboard.
