Okay, so it's like a game of whack a mole, you fix one, another springs, fix that one, another springs, you fix that one, the first one springs its funny yet annoying at the same time.

Love the car, (108k, bought at 50k) love the performance, can't stand the oil leaks and cheap plastics that just errode due to heat from the engine and climate (north carolina)

Anyway, so is there any solution for the constant oil leaks ? I've heard that the oil catch can will releive pressure on the parts which will cause less failure...?

Is this true? If not, is this just the contstant state I should expect with this? Does the N55 leak the same?omegle xender


I really would like to keep this car for the long haul, atleast another 2-3 years but I'm not sure I can deal with everytime I turn around I have another oil issue.

I have replaced the oil pan valve cover and oil filter housing gaskets and haven't had an issue with leaks for 2 years now.....maybe now that I have said that I will probably get leaks now.....lol

There really is only one way to stop the leaks 100%...sell it

Like BMW 335 said those are the only leaks I’ve had from 4 different N54 cars. Where else are you getting leaks from? Doesn’t matter what car you drive if it’s performance you will start to see leaks after 10+ years and 100k+ just lucky with the N54 it’s not as expensive to fix leaks as some other performance vehicles. As they say gotta pay to play!!!

i have no leaks on my n54 2007 after i replaced my oil filter housing gaskets. oil pan and valve cover plus rear main and crank hub seal was replaced before i bought it. done about 40k miles no oil loss between 10k oci. i find it weird not topping up.
