Hey all! I pulled a log and can't remember the app to look at the graphs? I swear I searched on here and can't find it. I attached the csv in the event someone wants to look at it and see if it looks ok. Running map 2 on Costco 92.
Intakes, *** back, and HKS plugs.
I did a couple pulls from 40ish to about 100 I think, and one from a stand still until 50ish. Couldn't find a road yet to let me do full pulls.
Thank you!!!

Lots of timing corrections! I would pull a log for Map 1 to compare. Do you have access to E85 fuel?

I do have access to E85. I will try map 1 tomorrow.
Thank you for looking. I'm just getting into reading these and I did find the tool for the chart. Just saw Will posted a video today on youtube.

Trying putting in a couple gallons of E85 that will clear those corrections up.

WMI settings together with Map changing at wipers
Today I finished WMI installation and have Q for you WMI guys that know JB4 settings.
I have Map switching at wiperspeed buttom as this at the external output:
Enabled 2
Min rpm 8 map
Max rpm 0 map
Min TPS 1 map
Min gear 3 map
Min advance 7 map
Q:
1: How can i adjust to have WMI at only Map 3+7?
2: Can I use the Map switching at the same time as WMI as the settings is for WMI?
3: If I put Rpm, boost and pedal in this numbers, does it take over from the Map switching settings?
Also with like 70% meth, do you run more than 75% Boost Additive? Maybe 100%.
My logs are fine but I will appreciate you guys advice that have runned WMI for a long time. I just start today...
Thanks!

Slightly better and I mean slightly but some really bad timing. Might be some bad fuel you got. I would try dumping a couple gallons of E85 to a full tank and see if that cleans it up. Also did you gap your plugs and if so what is the gap you have them at?

I had someone else put them in and I bet they were not gapped to the .022 I suggested. Ugh! I have the HKS plugs, and surprised others are fine with the gap they came with. I'll try some E and see if that helps. If not I assume gap is not right?

I would check those plugs. And if they are good then try some different fuel.

I'm guessing plugs. I talked to the guy that replaced the plugs, and he said that they were not gapped. He didn't think the HKS needed them. Tried E27 this time and still the same I think. I don't really have a spot to let it run over 100 mph to see if timing evens out, but it appears to be not very consistent, and I'm assuming the numbers are to far off and indicate plugs.

Try a reset disconnect the negative on the battery and wait 5 min and reconnect and see if that clears it up. The plugs need to be gapped correctly. Did he say what they are?

He did not check them. Just took them right out of the box and put them in. I guess I will have to buy some tools and gap tool, and do it myself.

Yes I would go to map 0 and check those before attempting anything else. Make sure to use the feeler style gap tool so you don't damage the tips.

One more set of logs - fresh tank of Shell 93 octane on a pull up to around 100 that got slightly interrupted, and some normal stop and go driving - are the timing issues still present? Just want to confirm before messing with the plugs. What would "good" values look like?
Also, last logs Terry said the boost seemed low - is that still the case? What numbers should I be seeing? I checked hoses and clamps and the BOVs, nothing seems like it should be causing a boost leak.
Thanks in advance...

This log is long and doesn’t have anything to go off of really just lots of driving. Start at about 40 and go to 80+ mph. Start the log at 40 mph and stop at 80+ mph. Full throttle pedal to the floor the whole time!

My bad. Wasn't sure if the normal driving would provide any sort of valuable data or not. I'll do a clean WOT run in the morning.

Map 3 log help -
06-17-2021, 06:41 PM
Hey y’all, My car is feeling a little sluggish after installing my new intercooler and piping kit. I’ve never had my logs checked but at this point I’m full bolt one besides CPI and should probably make sure everything is running right. This is a 0 - 60 log on map 3 with E30. Idk how to tag Terry but could you take a look?

I’m not good on reading raw timing but if you can turn the FUA to 0 it’s easier to read corrections.

Hey everyone. Just did another pull a few weeks into running the JB4 on my Stinger. Running 93, but from BP whereas my last logs were Shell. Map 2. I'm seeing some more timing corrections here than I saw last time. Anything to be concerned about? I don't want to run any e85 blend, so hoping to be able to run 93 on Map 2 ideally but want to be safe

It’s just the nature of pump gas unless you mix with ethanol/methanol/octane booster/race gas.

9 times out of 10 anything under Map 3 on pump gas will be fine. There is some variation with the quality of gasoline for lots of reasons. That will cause more timing corrections than other reasons.
Now why would you not what to try an ethanol blend? You can run E20 and you'll get 97% of the benefits of full E85 without the drop in fuel economy usually about 1% loss.
The main benefit is at least a 30 hp increase and much more ignition advance which makes the car faster and more fun to drive.

It's a daily driver, not something I'm running hard regularly at the track. I like to get on it and drive it hard, but I'm in Chicago so there's a lot of traffic and I don't get to do a ton of long pulls normally. For regular driving, I'm not going to seek out e85 and try and balance my mixes every time I fill the tank. I often fill up when at like 40% or 60% fuel left because I happen to be in the burbs and it's cheaper than filling up in the city. A lot of places don't have e85. Trying to regularly balance some mix of e85 just is not worth the effort to me.
If I ever wanted to really get more power out for a track day or knowing I'm going somewhere where I can push the car more, I'd consider running some e85 on these special occasions. But certainly not regularly.

That is an assumption that I drive my car hard regularly. Actually I don't, I drive it at normal speeds. The advantage of ethanol blends is much more ignition advance; Throttle input is much more snappy out of Sport Mode. I can easily get wheel spin with Sport Mode enabled without much throttle input.
I live in the middle of the San Fernando Valley, 1.3 Million people. E85 just became more widely available here so I am taking advantage of it. I do Postmates/Ubereats with E20 because driving the car on 91 is a turd.
Most power I made on 91 is 216 whp (Map 2), Map 3 made the same.
With E40 (E20 would more or less give the same results) made 222 whp on Map 1, 227 whp on Map 2 and 240 whp on Map 3
Like I said the car is faster than stock with Map 2 but it's much faster than Map 2 with Ethanol in the tank and even faster in Map 3. I run Map 2, I don't run boost often because fuel economy is more important.
Special Occasions? I drag race my car regularly.
