Default Best Plug For Current Set Up.. - 05-17-2021, 02:47 PM

On the Genesis G70 3.3T, Right now I am currently running the E30 ( pump e85 and pump 93 mix)
I have a muffler delete, JB4, fuel wires, fuel-it kit, BMS air intakes, and oil catch can. I have the Denso 1 step 5346 gapped to .22. ( 450 hp kit )

I am curious to know if I should change to the Denso 2 step 5347?

I run daily on map 5 with no issues. I popped a lean code once when I miss calculated and had about E45 in the car.
For some reason, I feel the car had a little more power when I was running map 3 without the E30.

V6 cars should not go over E30

Colder plugs MIGHT help with running pump gas and get you a degree or two of timing over the stock heat range.

1 step is fine.

Map 5 on E30, I'd love to see that log.. You say "No issues" but has anyone looked at your timing?

I guess I should of been more clear. No issues, that I know of.
I haven't been able to log because my blue tooth module hasn't been working.

I have another or coming Friday, so I get some logs during the weekend. Drove around with the Launch and nothing really stood out.

Yup do a log. It feels fast but you don’t know that your engine is already suffering.

So I finally got another Bluetooth adapter.

I guess I was using an outdated app as well. When I first used map 5, I had no labels on the map settings, only the map, and the number. That was about 4/5 months ago. Now I see a description on each map setting. Not sure if the maps have changed slightly with an update.

Anyway, I got a log in 5 and 4 noticed a decrease in power, most liking to what you guys said 'timing'. Threw it down to map 3 and that feels great. Haven't got logs from 3 yet but I plan on it today.

Here's the log from maps 5 and 4.
Still learning to read them, so I guess I'm going to be sticking with map 3 for a little while.

thanks for the info.

I don't see an issue with timing or boost. Looks pretty normal to me. Upload a map 3 log and we'll compare it.

I don't see why map 3 would feel better. Timing is pretty much the same but boost is lower so that seems odd unless it's something to do with the torque convertor or ???
