One thing that came to mind - are the default settings shown in the 2nd post of the S55 thread still valid, considering changes with the firmware since that post and the recent BEF implementation?

Did a longer log with DB locked. FF is rising to 66 now. Just right at the end, I not sure what I felt it was almost like a slight loss of traction or something and the log shows my rpm actually dropped to 6363rpm before it went bk up. Maybe it recovered the traction but I backed off just in case. Timing is right up there now though.

I updated the MHD app after their public release yesterday. Reflashed S55 RACE v13 and logged a pull to make sure everything was still looking good. Was running E40 mix of 93 octane and E85.
Only thing I noticed was a split second of power drop off in the mid to high RPM range.

Hi Terry, do u think looking at my logs with the current set up there is ample room to increase the boost to say 26psi or 27psi without changing anything else?

When loading the BEF you click off on the options to enable it, and your car makes odd exploding noises during deceleration.

Terry the burble options in mhd is separate from your jb4 toggle settings for exhaust flap fully open at all times etc, I presume?
And burble options are not detrimental to motor?

The burble settings are separate from the JB4 controls. The latest MHD release is nice in that you can set exhaust flaps closed in comfort/efficiency mode and always open in sport/sport+. Then, set the JB4 to allow OEM flap functionality and you can toggle from quiet driving when rolling by the neighbors' houses in the middle of the night, to instantly crazy loud with the press of a button.
That feature finally being release kept me from switching to a different flashing platform.
Also, the burbles are a little much for my taste on anything other than OEM setting. The OEM setting sounds sweet when set to 0.8-1.3 seconds or so duration.
Even the soft setting (one bump up from OEM) is pretty insane on my car as a daily driver. I tried medium once and had to pull over and re-flash because it was just too much for routine driving.

Anyone running straight E85 having issues with rough cold idle and/or stalling? I cranked up the fuel scalar up a bit for a customer and it seemed to improve his cold performance. Email me if you'd like to test the change.

Hey Terry,
I experienced this recently running E40 mix with the RACE v13 BEF - every cold start up was pretty bad. Unfortunately, had to refuel before I thought to log a cold start. The car idled super rough for the first 10-20 sec and trying to drive off without letting things smooth out made it bog down pretty hard, to the point of looking a little ridiculous pulling out of a parking garage.
It wasn’t an issue with E20 - E35 blends. Also haven’t noticed a problem with straight 93 fuel.

Hi Terry, I’ve enabled the cold e85 start up bit when I first flashed the first e85 bef and it definitely improved my cold start and stop/start function. With this off it just stalls on the auto stop/start if enabled 😂

Oh wow! I’ll take a look at my settings. Because my car is totally stock in exhaust it could prolly do with more burble in Sports mode
Should I be selecting the option Oem/Catted *** too?

The new flash change builds on that with a high fuel scalar in the cranking and idle areas. Let me know if it further helps!
