It is starting to get cold where I live, and I have been using cold start delete with MHD. Now I'm not sure if I should turn it back on for the winter.

I am not sure of the full functions of the cold start process.

As I understand it, its main purpose is to heat of the catalytic converter for emissions purposes and I was wondering if there were any benefits of the cold starting process to heating oil up faster causing less wear.

I have vrsf dp so I don't need my cats heated up.

Only thing I could think of is getting into closed loop faster by heating up the wideband O2 sensors

How long normally does it take to heat up the wideband o2 sensors to start the closed loop?
I had all 4 o2 sensors replaced in the last 3 months.
