Stick with stock map 1 - log - post for comments - then move up the stock maps until you see where your fuel gets you before the engine starts to pull timing due to knock.

Ok thanks, will do. FYI I'm in the city, so depending on delivery, install, finding a good place to test, real results might not be until wk of Thanksgiving. But you are saying start at +4 psi (in red sport) and potentially go higher? Again, total noob here and appreciate all of the advice.

Or maybe map 1 is best for everyone to start as a baseline/benchmark?

Find a nice highway on-ramp - 3rd-4th pulls are most telling in the logs. A RS with Map1 and good 93 fuel should yield nice results, but the logs will be the litmus test.

Has anybody ever tried BoostinMotion's aggressive Map 6 before, settings are attached? I believe he set the record for the fastest silversport on JB4 with a 12.2 or something. How you all feel about his settings?

Wouldn't do it unless you've got the octane.

Ditto - stock turbos and 93 octane at PSI numbers that high tend to quickly cause knock. Run some unleaded race fuel in the 100 octane range and you might be able to pull those boost ask numbers in his Map 6 profile... A nice WMI setup would also help out 😎

Thanks for the advice guys. In terms of upping our octane, what you guys doing with yours? My car doesn't like a E30 mix, the most I can do is usually E10-E15. If we need more octane then that, can you throw in some octane booster in there too?

WMI is the obvious choice. Watch out for MMT octane boost additives - they do work but leave you with orange spark plugs !

Thought some of you would like to see this. My car is a 2017 Q50S Sport AWD (300hp version), I put my car on the dyno and it made 392whp and 425ft-lbs tq on the jb4 with fuel wires disabled. This is on canadian octane 94 with E10 mix (canadian octane 94 is same as US 91...so I'm basically same as US 93 octane for gas)
This was on a Map 6 with +7 peak. I figure I gained nearly 100whp and 125ft-lbs of torque at the wheels with the JB4! My best dragy time is 4.3 0-60 and 12.6 @ 110mph. Car seems to be reaching max fuel trims and I believe I need to upgrade my fuel pump to make more power at this point. If I ran more boost and had more octane, I feel I can get it into the low 12s.
For you dyno experts, what is my crank HP at the engine? I can't figure out those numbers...this was on the Dynocom AWD 15000 FX

Sounds like solid gains! On crank vs wheel HP it's hard to really know, and all dyno machines spit out different numbers so unless it's a dynojet which is fairly standardized you have to go with same dyno machine comparisons.

Thanks! My car has never run better times on the dragy with the FW turned on, all my best times were with it turned off. I turned it on for the one of the runs on the dyno to see if it made any difference but it actually lost tiny bit of power. On the built-in Map 5 (+6psi) I made 380hp & 407tq, but after enabling FW it made 379hp and 405tq so I guess it didn't make a difference .

Hey guys new user here, finally decided to get the JB4. My car us a 2018 Q50S. Mods include
1. AMS Intakes
2. HKS Resonated Lower DP
3. Infiniti Sports Muffler (No muffler, essentially a muffler delete)
I made some logs startimg with map 0 through map 2. I have a couple of questions.
When submitting logs for review is it preferable to separate them by map?
How much IGN 1 is deemed unsafe? Saw a 0 on one of the logs.

Hi all! I've got some logs from my first JB4 run. I decided to start with map6, running 93 oct. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Looks fine but such a mild map! Sure you prefer it over our map1?

Just installed JB4. Bluetooth is linked, app seems to be registering all the parameters ( boost, a/f, rpm ). I made a few runs, each time pressing the "Start Log" button and WOT thru a few gears, then "Stop Log". I see a gray box that says something about saving the log, I think.
But there are no logs saved. Nothing to select. What am I doing wrong?
Car feels amazing in map 1 btw

I would suggest taking advantage of one of the JB4 App's best features - Log by WOT
In the JB4 App (iPhone version is what I am using - Android maybe slightly different) Under Settings - Advanced - Everything Else: App Settings - Logging Settings
WOT Logging Timeout (Sec) - I use 10 sec
WOT Start Threshold (Pedal) - I use 90%
2017 Q50 Premium RWD - BMS JB4 w/ Fuel Wires
- BMS WMI w/ PM8’s
- Pure Stage 2 Turbos
- Z1 PU Motor Mounts
- AMS HX w/ Aux Tank & IC Pump
- AMS HPFP (RA338) & LPFP
- AMS Flex Fuel Kit v2
- AMS LDP
- AMS CAI
- Fast Intentions Res. Touring 2.5” CBE

Ok i had to name the suffix "csv". I am getting WOT logs. Thanks you. Now how do we get a graph? I keep seeing graph charts on these logs, but I just have the spreadsheet plotpoints.
Thanks in advance

You can chart logs in the app by clicking them or email them to yourself and use the windows software in the first post.
