Go back to firmware explanations in page 1 of this thread. I believe it is in User Settings - Boost Drop 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Looks like this is a subtract from whatever map you are running. I would enter into those settings and see if it does indeed lower the boost in Map 5 like you are looking for. I don't see much discussion about it here or the Q50/Q60 forum.
Question for the experienced folks.
Vehicle is a 2017 Q60 non rs rwd.
Lower down ***** and bms intakes.
Jb4 with fuel wires running 93 octane.
I've been doing a lot of testing on diferent maps on different gears reviewed the longs to see how far I can get with more smoothly boost, timing and afrs curves.
The question is.
Can boost by gear be setup on map 5?
I'm trying to see if I can get 13 psi in fisrt, 15 psi in 2nd and 16 in 3rd. Of course if timing and afrs look good.

The boost by gear reductions are active for all maps.

Did 3 pulls with the ewg wires installed ( no fuel wires yet) on map 6 with the duty bias set to 40 from 4.5k through 7, was pulling time so ando adjusted. Tell hows it looking.. thanks.
A Member Mention I will benefit from Fuel Wires, I do have them but since Passenger side is not as easy not being able to connect. Any Inside on how they will help from Attached Map.
The fuel wires will lean out the AFR at higher RPM. Where you see low 11 values they will be bottom out at high 11 or low 12. This provides a bit more power at high RPM. Many run without installing them, so no need to rush installing them. Best if you can get someone with small hands to help!
Redgoyabean - these logs look much better than the one you posted 09-20-2020, 08:08 AM. Still show a drop to 2.5 at 4500 -5500 RPM (not sure it is enough to be concerned about). Maybe set boost target at 6.5 in that range to see if it helps if you want to be really careful. Maybe someone else will chime in if I am off base on that concern.

Thanks for the insight bro. I rarely ever go WOT to be honest so im not really beating on the car. Definitely going to lower the boost in that rpm range. 1 quick question, trying to figure out how lowering my duty bias from 50 to 40 between 4500rpm n 7000rpm help with my timing. Is it that same as if I simply lowered the boost in the same rpm range. From my understanding the wastegate bypasses the turbos. Still learning all this. Thanks.
I am still learning also - but what you say makes sense. Allows more exhaust gas to bypass the turbos, thereby allowing more gradual build of boost. The most frequent positive feedback about addition of the wastegate control wires is that it allowed boost to build MORE suddenly that drivers feel in the "butt dyno". Stands to reason that lowering the bias would lower that effect. Possible the more gradual build allows the car to adjust in other ways before timing is pulled?

On the JB4 (IOS) application - it is under User Adjustment Settings - Options (just below Future Use A) - Bits - flip Bit0 On (Green). Be sure to save your configuration and go back to double check it.

Sorry, not a senior member, but your log looks good to me. Fuel wires will provide some marginal benefit but not necessary. If you have them hook them up. I would try a similar pull on map 3 next.
Thank you! I have the fuel wires hooked up I’m going to flip them on and do some logs once it cools down in CA. Saw a video saying fuel wires on 91 octane was dangerous but I would think burger wouldn’t send them out if this was the case what are your thoughts ?
That topic has come up here before and Terry stated that the fuel wires provide a benefit on all types of fuel. I guess the logic of the concern is that a richer AFR would help deter engine knock (the fuel wires generally lean out the AFR at high RPM). You should be able to see problems in the logs if that is the case. Just log often and keep an eye on how your car is doing. I would do a similar run on Map 2 as you ran earlier without the wires active. Then try Map 3 and see if the car is still happy.
Hi I just got a JB1 (From someone who upgraded to the JB4). I am looking for the pin outs or photos of the wiring out of the 25 pin connector to the TMap connectors.
I searched the forum but could not find a bit of info on the wiring.

New to the forum and the platform. I’ve had the JB4 for about 2 weeks and just had some time to do some baseline logs. I was hoping someone could take a look and offer some comments. The pulls running map 3 and 4 were strong- not so much on map 5. I didn’t realize the fuel wires were turned off for map 3&5 pulls. I’m running Shell 93 octane.

Something looks off on your ecu_psi. The values seem low, especially in 2nd gear. My 2018 Luxe is averaging between 8-9 PSI. In map 5 that results in total boost of 14-16PSI. On a recent zero to sixty run mine averaged 15.3 PSI in 2nd gear. All 3 of your runs have much lower ecu_psi in 2nd gear with the lowest being on the map 5 run. Your timing looks fine (ign_1). Don't see any reason your map 5 should not be faster than your map 3 and 4 except for the boost the ECU is calling for.

Map5 may just be too high of a target for the fuel/conditions. Map4 looks fine to me in the logs so stick with that.
