That seems logical but I don't know for sure...AFR does not seem to be suffering when this happnens...maybe the car starts to compensate when it runs out of available fuel to keep the AFR in acceptable range? Maybe someone with more expertise can chime in.

Hey all, about to join the JB4 family. Getting a used JB4 shortly. I've got a 2017 Q60 3.0 Premium, mostly stock, but I did put on the Infiniti resonated sport exhaust.
Will I need to do anything since I'm getting the JB4 used? I remember reading that some people needed to call in order to get the app working for them when buying used.

Did a couple runs last night on my 17 q50s, running only a e15 mix. Can you guys analyze my logs and let me know if everything looks proper?

Need help on this log. Lately I've been getting a lag when I floor it, and the trans doesn't downshift fast enough. But then it's like the car isn't sure how much boost it should be under. I don't know if I have a vacuum leak somewhere, but then I decided to do some logging, and noticed my car does go rich in the AF. It seems to go on the lean side instead. I understand when I completelylet off the throttle, it will go into the 20s, that's normal. But I see some parts on the log while under throttle on the high teens. Am I reading the log correctly, or should I start inspecting the car more for issues.

I'm trying to post not reply if that makes a difference. Is there another way to post other than the quick reply section.

Awd 2016 q50 premium with HKS lower down ***** n tanabe axleback. Was running map 5 on 93 no problems pre previous logs n I i just installed ewg wires n will reinstall the fuel wires shortly. I feel like now its runs stronger on the lower rpms but I think I might be pulling timing. I set all the settings per the n54tect page for the ewg wires. Thanks in advance who ever views my logs. Just want it running smooth.

Redgoayabean - your car does not seem to be happy on any of those logs. Where did you get your 93 Octane gas? Was it a very hot day? Timing values are very low and don't want to recover after shifts. AFR's are rich - don't know that I have seen values of 10.0 in other logs - seems like high 10's are where they bottom out on most cars without the fuel wires.

Those logs are only after installing the EWG wires, had no issues running map 5 prior to ewg. I get shell 93 vpower n thats all I use. It was warm but b4 i did the 30mph run my trans temp was around 90 degrees. Are there any values I can change to help with the ewg. I love the low end power they provide.

Your timing is definitely low. I'd pull out some boost below 5500 rpms.

Hey ddnspider, thanks for checking my logs on the q50 forums. I'm still trying to figure out why I'm having timing issues with the ewg wires. Also, are the ewg wires active only in map 6 or act across all maps after install.

EWG wires are on all maps. I think your EWG wires are fine, you're just commanding too much boost down low.

Are you able to disable the EWG control and see if the timing returns to normal? I don't recall if there is a setting to disable them or you have to unplug the wires. I realize that would be a bit of a pain but might be worth doing to ensure that the EWG control is what is causing the problems. I don't recall mine having any effect on timing or AFR when I activated them.
Regarding the fuel wires - I would leave them off for now until you figure out this issue. I wonder if enriching the mix is another way for your car to cope with the knock issue.
