I see this is a pretty old thread.
If the OP is still alive. ..if I brought my 2006 m5 smg to you with the dct installed...how much wod you charge me to get the electronics hppy and working? I am really not interested in figuring out all of this wiring g etc. Call me lazy if you like. I don't mind installing the tranny and getting any necessary adapters made and installed.
I set up an account here so that I could ask this question.
Thanks

I'm about to replace the 6AT in my 2010 E91 with a DCT. Since my car is fairly recent most parts of this tutorial are not required for my car.
Sadly I do still need the diagram for the harness that needs to be made. This does not seem available via the FTP link provided.
So, is there anyone who can help me out with this?
Cheers!
Richard

Have you looked over on spool street? Most of the info is relevant. I'll see if I can find my notes from when I did mine. Which is a 2010 e90 so wiring should be really close. Do you have all the parts needed already? Feel free to pm me. It may be a few days before I can get the info for you.

A little of correction. The F-Can goes to 11 and 26, not 11 and 28. And the pin numbers of the sensor are 3,5,2,1 of the sensor (instead of 4,2,3,1). Final mapping would look this way:
39 -> 3
27 -> 5
11 -> 2
26 -> 1

Also, it wasn't easy to realize that "OLD X6031" is in fact the BODY side that needs to get pins swapped to X6021 (body side again).
Other than that - its flawless. Many thanks for the writeup.

Mine (body) is 2007/4 but in fact it doesn't matter, the DSC sensor's wiring sits as follows on every RWD model with dsc_85 & dsc_87:
39 (CLUS SP, wires to sensor pin #3)
27 (CLUS GND, wires to sensor pin #5)
11 (F Can High, wires to sensor pin #2)
26 (F Can High, wires to sensor pin #1)
Here: A65a Dynamic stability control (DSC)
Guess 28 was just a typo in the original post, as it's not wired in any modification except AWD models (wheel ABS/DSC), and 26 is the pin for FCAN H signal needed for the sensor
PS: AWD models have different DSC and totally different pinout to the sensor.
