RHD big single E82 135i -

Mods in signature.
Cars been off the road attempting to fix it for 18months.
No idea what's wrong yet.
Thinking of replacing or rebuilding my engine 30k miles on it.
I'm considering the Gen2 PT 5558.
Rods pistons bearings.
Should i stay jb4/bef with pi controller or go standalone Haltech and custom flash?
Any suggestions would be sweet!
*EDIT* The shop with my car has a 9 sec 335i street registered N54. N55-N54 swap is not out of the question.

I’ve been running a precision 6266 gen2 for over 2.5 years now on my stock motor RHD N55.
Since installing the M4 flywheel, been able to run 28psi consistently with no issues. On the very limit on my dodson superstock clutches. Making 650whp+.
If you are going single, why not put the biggest one that can fit bottom mount? 6266
You can go with rods pistons for peace of mind but don’t think standalone is necessary.

Jb4 with custom mhd backend flash. For fueling its fuel it stage 3 lpfp and pi running e85

Cars in shop but having serious problems identifying what on earth is wrong with it. Latest parts to be replaced will be the valvetronics.

Ecu parameter knock codes and internal fueling codes were the original ones.
These indicated replacing the ecu, which I did, which did nothing.
I beleive the car now has some valvetronic codes but I'm not certain which ones and I dont want to pester the shop because the cars a nightmare and they'll probably ask me to collect and burn it.
Issue was:
Car puts down 465whp 25psi on dyno dynamics shootout dyno, graph is perfect , logs are immaculate across the board.
Once the car comes up to running temp I get a huge shut down at around 4k rpm like air fuel and spark all stop. I mean it's extreme. Like ejected thru windshield extreme.
It appears as well once up to temp even normal driving is affected, car breaks down and cant be used for anything other than very short trips. As mentioned once cool everything is perfect.
Car is now stock other than PI paltinum kit (not wired) turbo and FW.
It's not tuning related.
Oh also, someone on here advised me to take it to the dealer, they don't know what's wrong and told the shop to burn it.
I've also emailed Terry about it (and we know he's a very clever guy) his words were "push it off a cliff"

Had you read codes after that happens ?
You must replicate the situation where the car produce that huge shut down log and read codes.
Sometimes a $0.75 part could make $50,000 machine stop working propperly.

Same but the shop is worried it may still not fix the problem.

I bought a 235, swapped it's 15k mile Engine into my car.
I still have the problem. This is crazy.

You could have bent rods or something in that line. Maybe blow by when car is warm.

Yes  , I believe the ecu only sees knock when the car is warmed up so very possible. Valvetronic shaft and associated parts have all been ordered by the shop so I have my fingers crossed.

I’m running the speedtech kit at 600-650 daily. Been 6 months at least. 75k miles. I would go stand alone if it was possible but not sure I would want to be the first. Stand alone makes tuning so much more flexible.
I plan to build a n55 maybe later this year. Simple rods, gas ported and coated pistons, n54 cranks, etc.
2012 N55 135I, Speedtech 7670, JB4 + MHD, Fuel-it port injection & stage 3 LPFP, M4 A2W IC, Mfactory LSD, KW V1, Apex EC-7, Most importantly CF Roof!
