Clear the fault and see if you get it again.
If the chain jumped you would know about it. Its not something this serious though.

Hi

I am new to this, do I load each of these onto the box or does JB4_VW_8_4 have the others in already?

You don't need to load them all in sequence. Each version over writes what is on already and includes previous version updates.

Hi George, I’m Johannesburg-based with a 2017 8V.2 7-speed S3 and now with the latest firmware and use launch control but don’t think I’ve experienced the misfire you mentioned? I do not have an hardware mods and have always been on Map 1. Is this only a Map 6 issue? What I have noticed at times however, is that the car sometimes “gags” at low speed in first gear in traffic, during part throttle applications. Almost like a split second of no power before it comes in. It also sometimes seems to momentarily hesitate prior to full throttle demands on the highway - perhaps more noticeable when switching from Efficiency to Dynamic mode at the same time and perhaps more so after an extended period of slow/conservative city driving.

The hesitation on light throttle is more a DSG thing if it changes based on mode. What happens is the DSG plans to shift up and then you give it a bit of gas and it decides to stay in the same gear causing a pause.
At altitude we haven't had issue with the 7 speed. Most likely due to slight variance in boost achieved so its not a concern.

Thanks George. Yeah, LC works like a charm, with the car easily breaking traction when launching from 4K. Interestingly, Iíve had no issues launching the car when on holiday down at the coast as well? Just that the car feels far more responsive down there. What would cause that momentary hesitation on the highway during kickdown though?

Hi guys,

my friend bought a new Seat Leon Cupra SW 4x4 (2019) and asked me for a piggytail.

Of cource JB4

But he has a new Cupra, with DSG7 and gasoline particulate filter.

Will it works with last firmware of JB4? Has it anyone in 2019 Cupra, will it works without problems?

Thx, Nick

No issues with the GPF Cupra. We have done quite a few of them already. No specific firmware is needed.

Yes, I confirm that it works well. I have a cupra 2019 with GPF

In my cupra with map 2 I need to set the PSI Boost Failsafe to 27 because in 25 it sometimes goes to the map4.

I have also set Auto Shif Boost Redux at 65 because if I keep it off when it switches from fourth to fifth gear the blows exceed 27 psi and it seems too much

Use 98 octane gasoline, is the maximum we can get in Spain

Can someone give information about this?

Thank you, had some bad issues with MAP2, with your Settings itís working fine!

Without this settings, the car gets problems (4drive 300 with GPF fuel 100 octane) with Speed over 200km/h, loosing boost, switching to map4 and EPC light on.

Pulls much better now when shifting... and feels much better...

Log looks good.

Hi.
Why 65 on auto shift boost redux. I thought that were values of 0 or 100. 65 what does or means.
Thanks

The value cuts the boost during the shift. The higher the value the more cut there is. There is a point if you increase it too much it can be felt if its not used to control a present issue.

I have also Cupra 300 ST 4DRIVE&DSG 2018(Without GPF) and need run boost limit 28 and still sometime get CEL and car go to MAP4...
Im try setup boost redux to 80,100 and do not help to avoid spike of boost after gear change...
Boost redux 80:

Boost redux 100:

In last picture I accelerate in 4th gear and in 4th gear max boost is 22,1psi(ECU is max 16.5psi) then imediately after gear change to 5th gear and continue acceleration it spike to 28.2psi. BUT I know that main problem is not JB4 because ECU in that time request 23psi and don't know why this is happen but don't like it...

Lower the boost add from 6000 and higher and it will clean it up. Use something like this:
5500 6

6000 4

6500 2

7000 2

I will try. Today Im try after long time push car harder and get issue in 5th gear.
Im start in 3th gear and then in 5th gear after gear change is car normaly pull but few seconds later it lose power and JB4 is change to map 4(Boost is over 28,1 for too long). Log is in attachment. Im also upload it on datazap:
https:// datazap . me /u/dejan/jb4-map6-fol45-maxpsi-28-boost-redux-65-30052019-boost-issue?log=0&data=1-4

Do you maybe know why ECU request that high boost?
At 5500rpm in 3th gear ECU request 15.1psi
At 5500rpm in 4th gear ECU request 19.4psi
At 5500rpm in 5th gear ECU request 21.7psi

Also ECU half close throttle after gear change to 5th gear.

I will in next days test it on map 0 to see if this strange behavior will still be present...

Anyone have map 6 settings that's between map 1 and 2 for Audi S3? Is there a way to improve the low torque between 1500 - 4000rpm? Thanks!

For guys with the idle hiccup see if this firmware irons it out. Been sending it out to individuals for the past week and it seems to be eliminated with smoother spool up as well.
Let me know your findings.
Once we happy with the results we will add new maps to this and post it in post 1.

Never had an issue with idling. However, the turbo spools noticeably smoother now. Solid firmware that pulls hard with a peak boost of 6.0 psi additive.

I just installed a ******** and I’m running Map 2 on 93 octane. I threw a P0100 code after about 10 miles of driving and I wasn’t sure if it is related to the JB4 or not. I have a 2019 Golf R if it makes a difference.

Checked the air filter to make sure it's clean?

Yes George!

I just tried it in my leon cupra 2019 and it works fine.

The feeling of unstable idle has disappeared!

It seems that everything it is OK!
