Default Error Code - what it means? - 07-20-2021, 07:17 AM

Code is:

CDCC21 LIN, communication (charge air coolant pump 2): missing

No check engine light and no lack in performance....so not sure what this is but always pops up

Hi Hilly, I am having the same error code today and was wondering how you were able to fix yours. Could you please share with me what you did?

I got the same massage, I replaced pump 2 it worked for few days and same error showed up. So I decided to trace the harness and guess what, I found that the ground is corroded. fixed it and never get the error again.

Check the harness before replacing the pump.

Thanks M6roar! I will follow your advice.
To give you some background, the coolant hoses were leaking and 1 pump wasn't working, my mechanic replaced them. The issue is that now I am getting that error code plus my battery is draining super fast when the engine is off (i.e. it does not hold charge overnight). I will test the battery tomorrow but it's unlikely the issue as I replaced it 6mo ago and never had issues before replacing that coolant pump. I'm no pro by any means and unfortunately do not have too much time to play with it myself other than weekends. Any suggestions you guys may have, please let me know, I would greatly appreciate it.
I will check both, but where is the coolant pump #2 located? driver or passenger side? I'm not 100% sure...

Pump 2 is on the driver side (LHD), Battery drain is due to LIN Bus keep sending signal to the pump but no response from the pump.

The socket connect 2 charge coolers pump and the heater pump.
