Chinese N54 Chargepipes -

As some of you may know the chargepipe market has become flooded with cheap Chinese chargepipes. To the point that to be competitive within that resale market I think we need to add a lower cost imported product to our chargepipe lineup. After some research of the stuff out there I decided to order some N54 replacement chargepipes from Phoenix Racing in China to evaluate.
Overall, they are not that bad, for the price. They fit OK. The welds are a bit chunky but seem solid. The openings for the TMAP and meth bungs are jagged inside and I had to poke off some aluminum scrap that was left behind. I had to file some of them to get the TMAP opening large enough to accommodate the sensor. The black finish is OK but scratches fairly easily. The meth bungs are also a bit too tall and would need to be filed down to get a more flush nozzle placement. It's all functional but not perfect. Par for the course for cheap Chinese stuff.
Anyway I'm on the fence on whether or not we want to resell these. I think they are as good as any of the Chinese made chargepipes. Some of which sell for $170 or more. But they are definitely not as nice as the CPE chargepipes we resell currently for $239.
So I want to find some willing customers to evaluate the part and provide honest feedback. We need 10 people. You would be buying a Phoenix Racing aluminum N54 replacement chargepipe with all hardware for use with OEM diverter valves.
I envision a retail price of around $119 + shipping for these. Beats paying $170+ for an equivalent Chinese chargepipe from someone else.

Two capped meth bungs, 2 hoses and 4 clamps for the DVs, the coupler, and 2 clamps for that. And the TMAP bolts. Basically everything you need.

what do you think about meth distribution with the two bungs right next to each other VS yours where they're across from each other?

Damn, that's a killer price! I'd jump on that most likely if I didn't already have a CP. If someone willing to do a little tad work cleaning it up I think it's a good option personally.

Just ordered one! Been on the hunt for a used BMS chargepipe but I figure this will work fine even if it just saves my stock plastic chargepipe from exploding

Hey Terry,
Just sent some. I'm pulling it all apart for valve cleaning anyway, be happy to provide some feedback.
Edit - come to think of it i'll wait on the valve clean and just do the pipe - wouldn't want placebo due to clean valves or anything attributed otherwise.

How is the quality of the silicone parts? Back in my VW days I've had cheap ones tear/break just tightening the clamps.
Also, is the meth bung placement fine for people who would only ever run 1 nozzle?
