Cool What's the truth about DCT? - 04-04-2019, 01:11 PM

My brother and I both own 335's, and mine is a 335is. We all know the facts about their performance due to our "first hand" experience with DCT vs 6sp. But no one can tell me from 1st hand experience or knowledge of their limits. Me and my brother hate the phrase "they say", that always follows with some type of bias and no real evidence from the party saying it. With that being said, here are the questions....

1) How much power/torque can the DCT handle?

2) Is it because of the clutches or are we saying it will fail mechanically?

3) Can anyone show me the link of the clutch swap from SSP or Dodson?

4) Lastly, who has the most powerful e9x series BMW with a DCT?

About 500 wheel. Im forgetting the torque numbers. is what the dct can handle before clutch slippage. No it wont mechanically fail.. clutches just cant handle the torque. There are plently of single turbo/ stage 3 twin turbo n54s running dct trannies.
