The logs with a less aggressive boost add at high RPM will tell the tail. Remember you can use number between whole numbers. Your 91 pump fuel will be an ongoing limiter to more boost unless you add E85, octane booster, or go WMI.

So I decided to not go the jb1 route and just go 4 as I can pick one up used from a friend. Is it ok to just go with JB4 without any logging (no data cable or bluetooth). I would leave at the default map of +4 until I decided on either the bluetooth or data cable down the road. Its a silversport so I assume that +4 with 93 octane should be safe without logging for now.
Also, i have heard of connection issues with the bluetooth when buying used and having to have the "user" reset through BMS. Is this still the case?

You can use it on map 1, no problem without logs.

Yes, if you purchase the BT used and the previous owner did not unlink. You'll have to screenshot and email to the email requested on the screen when trying to connect.

Hey peepers... looking for opinions and to get schooled as I am a TOTAL JB4 noob...

Sooo...

2018 Q60 Sport (NOT RED SPORT) AWD w/ BBE catback and Fast Intentions LDP installed with JB4 and 94 Octane...

Is Map 7 not the best idea to constantly select? Too much stress?

I do spirited driving and some highway driving, enjoy the WOT when I get the chance...

Thanks and Cheers!

Map 7 is really meant for racing conditions, like a dragway. For daily spirited driving and your mods, Map 5 or a tapered Map 6 would work. Make sure you post some logs to ensure there's no issues with timing

Installed my Megan Y pipe on Monday. 1st Dragy run afterwards was a new PR at 4.64. No brake boost, feathered the throttle to avoid spinning and stull cut off .10 from pre-Y pipe. Did not think the Y pipe would make a difference but the car feels significantly stronger, even when I go Map 0 to commute to work it pulls much harder. Also sounds like the OG G35 exhaust note which I absolutely love. Similar t to this video, not as loud though, with turbo spooling as well of course: Infiniti G35 stock exhaust (Must Hear!!!) - YouTube

Slightest bit of rasp now though. Skipping the midpipe upgrade. BOVs next.

Question, in the settings where you can limit boost by gear, do you input the value of the total PSI you want to limit to, or just added jb4 PSI? for example, if I put a 3 in the field for first gear, will it limit boost for first gear only up to 3 PSI above stock? Or will it only allow for 3 PSI max in first gear?

Tuning has been working well. Recently on the Q50 front we've finally redesigned our intake brackets and working on our Q50 OCC solution.

For those of us with BMS CAI w/ inlets, will we have an option for the updated rackets?
