Hi,

So for just normal jb4 the latest firmware will be 14?
am not using any mhd backend flash map.

Also what will be the parameters or specs for all the maps from 0 to 8
able to advise or update?

I have the standard JB4 with intake and 93 octane gas, and running the Firmware #11 on my 2016v BMW 340ix.
Question: Do you have to add #12 then #13 and then #13-1 before you add firmware #14? Or! Can you just go from #11 directly to #14 download?

Go directly... Just understand the changes, if any, to your setup.

Terry... I've been seeing confusion about mapping after V13+ updates. From my reading/understanding the mapping in the first post only applies if you have FUD bit 6 enabled, which is only done if you have a BEF. Otherwise, the mapping works like V11, as shown in the Firmware thread's first post. Can you please confirm and/or clarify this? Thank you, sir.

Yes the performance maps when FUD.6 not enabled are the same, although we've made some minor logging and feature changes since v11.

Thank you. I'll be sure to pass that on when I can. It may be best to add these details to both threads's first posts. Just another thing to add to the list... Lol.

Terry what’s the max value for FP-H I’m guessing along with trims will tell us if we are maxing out fuel system?

Look for fuel pressure drops. Trims don't offer any indication as to your fueling capacity although if they are too far off you may wind up with a leaner than intended air/fuel ratio.

i have V13.1 and according to BMS/MHD Backend Flashing Flow Chart step 12. Power up the car without starting, enter the jb4 steering wheel controls, select 4/2 to enable Backend Flash compatibility. Set your jb4 to your appropriate map setting for your car. Start the car. Pending it runs, you’re done. but my speedo 4 rpm only have 0 and 1 option, not possible to select 2, is there anything wrong? what am i missing ?

You're reading the wrong directions, those are for E chassis.

For all F chassis select FUD/options bit6 on the user adjustment page using JB4 mobile app.

Thatís MHD provided. please check out the user guide on how to install a JB4 BEF: https://mhdtuning.com/guides/MHD%20F...ER%20GUIDE.pdf

Works on all engines the same, no matter if N55, B58 or S55.

So for my B58 just select FUD/bit6 on thatís all I need to make JB4 work with MHD BEF?

Hey guys, I'm finding the nomenclature of the bef file names confusing.

Can someone tell me which bef is correct for 91 octane?
And which for e30-40 mix?
*FYI my car has a turbo back exhaust capable of "stage 2"

Default MHD highway mileage - 08-26-2019, 04:06 PM

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience yet on the effect of MHD on highway mileage.
My concern is with the fueling remapping, mileage may be of less concern.

Thanks.

Wish we could get more support for BEF users... It's really holding me back.
The Whatsapp group mentioned in the OP seemed to be gone now.

You probably want the b58_e85 one - not the WMI or RACE one

MHD on Highway mileage:

Hi,

low load is not touched by our tunes, so your car will still have great highway milage - if you use the added power then of course the car will have a higher consumption (more power = more fuel needed)

ST1 93 should add around 60-70WHP at least compared to stock.

Best regards
Momir

Hi,

I am thinking of the MHD flasher for my B58 engine, but am concerned about losing highway mileage, i.e. steady driving at 70 mph. Will the flash improve my mileage?
Also, for 93 octane, what WHP increase is likely?

Default MHD vs JB4 - 09-01-2019, 11:36 AM

Hi,

I currently run Map6 with 4.5 psi flat. It appears to be the optimum setting for my use. If I install the MHD backflash and run the same Map6-4.5 flat setting, what improvements can I expect?

Thanks
