My car was/is I-level E89X-15-03-501 before flashing 98D0B PPK and everything is fine as far as I can tell.

I have the ISTA service log from my dealer right in front of me.

I'm having a local coding guy do the PPK flash on my car as this is really outside my expertise. Using Zusub 8615936 for an E92 335xi with MEVD1726, he immediately got an error 201. Here are the screen shots he gave me. My car is a 2011 335xi MT. We went with the Zusub for MEVD 1726 because the description on the third line of the last screen shot says Motorelektronik ME VD17.2.6. This means my car is MEVD1726, and not MEVD17, right? Anyone have some suggestions?

Thanks, we tried again with ZB 8639128 for MEVD17 and everything worked fine, car now has the PPK burble and no errors.

The confusion was, we looked at the information in the third screen in my original post, that third line with the DME information says MEVD176K and in the description, ME VD17.2.6. The thought process was "MEVD176K is neither MEVD17 or MEVD1726, but it sure looks like 1726 in the second place, so I guess it's MEVD1726?" That of course turned out to be an incorrect assumption.

Does this work for E70 N55? My VIN is L767855 and my control unit on realoem says MEVD172.

Not officially...the PPK was only offered for the E71 (X6) with either a N54 or N63 engine.

What is your current DME ZB number?

Ok thanks, I tried searching for the X5 ppk and didn't see anything. According to the Cobb rom I exported my from car, I think the Zb number is 8666608. So jealous of you 1 and 3 series guys getting all the goodies like the Alpina transmission flash too. Other prioritis in life called for a SUV :-/

Your current ZB number (8666608) is a 98G1B ROM. You could try flashing ZB 8666660 which is a 98G1B PPK ROM intended for the E90/E92 LCI 335i xDrive using WinKFP expert mode.

They are intended for the same physical DME, the only thing that differs is the data set (calibration) version.

If it doesn't work, you can always flash back to stock. Both ZB numbers are available in the latest SP daten.

I posted a link to a WinKFP expert mode primer in this post:

Is there a guide for flashing PPK? I was able successfully flash Alpina on my car following a guide but am a bit hesitant with the PPK. Step by step info would be awesome if someone can provide one.

Thanks
