I did a quick search and didn't find anything - I have a Nexus 5x with a USB-C cable. Using the first D-CAN cable I bought MHD says it cant find the ECU. I am going to be buying a second cable from bimmersoftware like you recommend, but is it possible it is the OTG cable and you don't support USB-C connections?

There are people using Nexus 5X and Type-C OTG adapters with MHD and it works.

Does anyone else have a laggier/much less responsive e85 bef flash? the pump flash works great. previously the e85 flash was always much more throttle responsive than the pump, now with the recent update it is the opposite. Sometimes Ill have to give it 1/4 throttle to get some juice out of it. Everything else works great. Car pulls hard and fast. Logs look good. Fuel/hardware is good/safe.

Anyone else notice this? Terry?

Menu 11. What is it set at? Could up it to 5000rpm for linear throttle response.

Hey guys, total noob here when it comes to tuning and logging although I do understand some of the logging parameters from the forums and searching.

About to have FBO with inlets and outlets on an 09 135i. I've got the MHD app and waiting on the cables to connect to my car. I'm unsure what exactly to do after installing the MHD app. Do I start with the stage 1 and work my way up and start logging to see if everything is within parameters or do I just jump to the stage 2 and start there? How do the custom maps work? Do I need to bring it to someone locally or contact someone online? I'm just using 93 octane as it's my daily driver and I'm just looking for a conservative tune. Full tuneup and walnut blast recently.

I just switched all of them. I had crazy WG rattle too and i fixed it with these setting and the car feels better too but they are pretty low compared to everyone else's.

Original was:

10: 3000
11: 0
12: 0

Currently - (i am happier with this bc no wg rattle but its still a bit laggy and feels kinda slower than original)

10: 800
11: 0
12: 1600

If you're FBO, I would probably go Stage 1 + FMIC if you want conservative. You could go Stage 2 + FMIC if you want. I just switched to Stage 2 93oct (near FBO minus FMIC). Versus stage 1 it gives better response on the low end for me.

For custom tunes, there are a few guys on here who do custom tuning. Be ready to spend the same amount of money that you spent on MHD Flash Module, Monitoring Module, plus tune (Roughly $250 IIRC).

Ok so new settings are 10: 4500 11: 0 12: 2800 ... car feels great, its really hot so this is why it feels slower. Im comparing it to pulls at 40-50 deg ambient and today is 80-85. waste gate rattle was present with these setting so I did the FUD rattle fix. That worked great. no rattle during decel, (in a garage you hear it a tiny bit but for straight thru exhaust and resonance of a garage thats normal i guess) Where i do hear a rattle now is on the accel for a little bit. The rattle is about half of what it used to be on decal and free revving which was unbearable. This slight rattle on accel is totally acceptable. (rev lag from idle to about 1/4 throttle is still present... i figure the throttle would happily bounce quickly especially after installing slighter smfw, no settings have altered this) What do you guys think?

MHD Adapt reset is only what you need if you use the same battery capacity. If capacity is different, registering (coding) the new capacity is needed.

That's about right (at peak) for v5, stg1 and stg+fmic have different profiles.

Also regardless if I copy my original bin to the MHD flashed folder and click flash back to stock it flash its own rom and doesn't really take my VIN original bin file even if I delete all the files and keep only my stock bin...

I understand MHD save time and select the bin and flash as stock but it's not stock when I get bunch of errors of things not related to my car because it's stock of other car with same IJ0es , you should give the option to really flash back to stock and select the original bin and make an option for who want to save time and have a random bin flashed to them as a stock!

Now even if I select whatever option it says if this is your stock flash bin select flash back to stock! I don't want flash back to YOUR stock I want to flash back to my own stock bin,

It's really frustrating to wait 20 minute and end up with shadow errors because MHD flasher decided on my behalf what's my stock and write it's own saved bin instead!

MHD decided my stock file name fffffffffff and flashed it as last flash file :fffffffffff
Last attempt last flash file was blank

Can you at least check in your files what's the ffffffff bin file copied from and at least name it properly
Issue handled by email in between. MHd uses the backup file if present (and not renamed), otherwise the most up to date OEM map.

The current beta stae 1 6.1 maps target 14-16 peak, tapering to 12, and stage 2 16-18 tapering to 13-14. Curve will be slightly remodeled for 6.2 to better account for the presence of some mods, especially stock - upgraded FMIC.

I'd stay go straith to stg2+fmic, 93 variant and log from time to time. You can email me *********** links to logs for review.
You can either have someone local tune your car, and have an etuner make iterations on a custom tune. Again drop me an email if you need further info.

So there is no need to modify the bins anymore? No 2A13 codes etc?

I can testify that the most recent JB4 PUMP BEF bin needed no adjustment to prevent codes through MHD, after Terry made a change.

Probably a stupid question, I'm sure I already know the answer is yes. If switching from BBFlash to MHD, should I flash my stock map back through the BBFlash program and then used MHD?

It would be optimal, yes. Better safe than sorry, although I believe that there are stock maps available online for our cars as well. I unmarried my Cobb, went back to stock, and then I did a backup of my stock map before flashing an MHD tune.

Hi guys, new on this forum, but have been running Mhd for a while now and just simply loving it, quick question, which alpina b3 flash would be best with the OTS stage 1 and 2 maps? The older #7603537 or the newer #7615835?

Thank you! I just flashed stage 1 since I'm waiting for the parts. Car runs so much smoother. What is the difference between the beta maps and the OTS maps? As for the Options menu, what exactly does each option do? I left them unchecked as I'm unsure exactly what each one does.

Beta maps are beta maps...they're works in-progress for those who want to send back logs to MHD to finalize the latest update when it becomes available.

There are plenty of posts about what options do in the settings. I would recommend searching.

I'm sure this has been covered but want to be clear. If I have over 30% blend, but under 40%, should I use the Race BEF and map5?

I had similar issues with the lates e85 hybrid flash for I8AOS. When I switched back to E85-flash the car runs perfectly again. Any ideas what is wrong with the hybrid BEF?

The AFR rises, fuel pressure drops and also a sudden overboost. Also the car was a bit jerky with hybrid BEF.
