Added ISO20 to the first post. For those who were helping test this it's the same file as the "iso_20_rattle2" that was sent via email.

When you start the virtual machine, look at the bottom of the window. There's a little icon that looks like a USB cable.

Connect the JB4 to your laptop, then select the icon and a pop up window should show a list of available USB devices.

Select the one that has a weird name. Heck just try whatever until it works.

That then shows the virtual machine that USB device. Then follow the regular instructions for locating which COM port it's attached to.

Cool stuff no longer installed.

samething was periodicly happening to me...the o-ring in my BMS chargetube was pinched, new o-ring now much smoother and no stumbles at hard throttle.

What parameter in the new interface (5/13/13) controls the BogFix for JB4 ISO_20?

The first post in the "start here!" thread states "Bogfix has been updated to Future Use E". But the FutureUseValues.txt located on this thread states "FUE: 0 - Enable NLS if equipped with NLS/2STEP relay".

I am currently running everything at default except for the Default Wastegate Position value to avoid my rattle.
Honestly I feel as if BogFix is turned on by default. I could be wrong but I want to have the ability to turn it off if it is.

Please advise...

Thanks,

Cc_

If you get a CEL you should read the code as a first step and look up the possible causes.

That's always the problem with trying to help people mask wastegate rattle. What fixes it for one car makes it worse for another. Run ISO19 if that works better for your particular situation.

Been a jb4 user since the beginning, so I decided to make the move and switch to the G5 board! Just installed it today and read all the 42 pages of this thread.

Few questions :

I have almost no rattle with lagfix 0.
But seem to get really BAD wastegate rattle with any lagfix above 20%.

The car seems a little bit too smooth for my taste (slow?) compared to G4 board with lagfix @ 100% (only little rattle with the g4 after 1min warmup).

Should I try ISO 19? I am on ISO20 now.
Is there any other adjustment (in the jb4 interface) that i could do to make the car peppier?
Should I try the MR 5 wastegate rattle fix and boost up the lagfix value?

Thanks for your answers!

Car is FBO no meth, using map 2

+1 I miss the way jb4 g5 intergraded felt
does the sudden boost on the old g5 inter harm our bmw's in anyway

I think g5 iso is great but to me it's more for heavily modified cars with raw power

I'm aware the g5 iso has updated features vs intergraded
is there any way I can get some of that over boost back with the iso ?
