Whats your budget? If that's all you will use it for just about anything that will run Windows 7 x64 should do. You can find a lot of refurbs under $200, and bare bones new ones for under $250. If you plan to do coding you might need something that can run XP or at least XP mode under 7.

This TW700 tablet. It runs windows 8.1 and has a full size usb port. I plug a USB hub into it to connect the JB4, a mouse, a thumb drive, and this roll-up keyboard. All this for under $100 and I simply keep it in the glove box. You can get the tablet cheaper from other retailers.

It's awesome. I also permanently hooked up an rs232 to usb cable to my AIC for port injection and ran it into the glove box. I mount the tablet with a cupholder mount. It's pretty clean and easy to put in and take out.

To charge, I used a 12v cig lighter to usb and plugged it into the 12v port by the passenger footwell that I had just discovered was there during this install.

That tablet is an awesome idea! There is an Acer (295) and then a Dell (339$) that are good buys on amazon. ordered the Dell a few days ago. if you can avoid the Celeron processor, do so.

I haven't tried it yet. I've installed inpa and edibias but haven't assigned an SP Daten file yet. There isn't much space natively on this tablet so you would probably need to have the SPDaten files on a microSD card. It should work though.

Asus T100 is honestly great.

Full windows 8.1 and can either be tablet or keyboarded. 32gb internal space and has USB 3.0.

Only $299.

Windows 8.1. And for the record, I had to update the use driver and it connects fine now.
