Default Cranked up JB+ to 4 psi .. is that safe for N20? - 05-13-2018, 01:58 PM

Hi. Just got JB+. After using the 3.5 psi default setting for 2 days, I cranked it up to 4 psi.
I read somewhere that 3.5 psi is recommended for N54/N55 engines but N20/N26 engines will be fine at 4.0 psi. My engine is N20, and I always use 93 Octane. So far, it seems to run fine with no Cels and no knocking.

I also read that N20 stock does 17 psi, and so with the 4 psi boost, that takes it up to 21 psi. Whats the limit for N20s ?

I put Stabil 360 due to 10% ethanol. I was wondering if I still need Octane booster in addition to using Octane 93 top tier gas. Thanks.

It's hard to tell with only a Jb+ but as long as there's no sputtering and the car is strong, keep at it. Make sure to fill with 93 as you stated and you'll be fine.

It's honestly relative but with a JB+ I wouldn't even worry about it.

Only if it breaks, I doubt you'd need to.
