I have an F30 N55 EWG and I've been running JB4 for 3 yrs in map 7. I have full boltons plus meth.
Just installed MHD BEF race map 2 days ago. Car definitely pulls earlier and smoother. Before MHD BEF, there used to be a lag before the power arrives. Almost felt like an on/off switch. I have a manual and power used to also hesitate between 1-2gear and 2-3 gear. The BEF eliminated this.
Finally, one thing still bugs me. Car pulls hard during the 1st or 2nd WOT when engine first warmed up. After that, power drops. Tried cruising a bit on the hwy to let the intercooler cool down. Sometimes it gets better but never near the 1st or 2nd pulls. Basically power becomes inconsistent at that point onwards. I have a Wagner Evo 2 intercooler btw.
Just want to know if you guys experience the same thing or just me. Will post a log when I get the chance.

im also EWG, running Race bef, yes just did 2nd gear pull on map2 from 37mph (60 km) WOT, i don't see 15-16 psi i only see 11-12 psi then after shift to third the boost go up, today i notice it. also i did two logs WOT from 2nd. never did 1st gear pull bcuz wheel spin. if i go slowly throttle from 2nd then WOT i see full boost. if i go full throttle same the logs i see less boost then after shift the boost go up.
maybe something wrong with boost tables for Race_BEF

Logs are short but boost is 15-16psi in what I saw.

Hi Terry. I'm getting my Borg Warner 8374 and port injection installed this week. Currently running the EWG_E85_10 flash. Any tips on setup? Specifically for the port injection? Should I mimic your other PI MHD slashes for fuel scalar?

Would you all recommend an intercooler before flashing the MHD BEF or vice-versa? (Payam recommended the BEF first, just wanted to get some more feedback)

The logs are looking really good to me! The last log looks like you misfired though, but everything else is really good. Do you know what code came up?

Not sure if anyone has asked you already @terry but will your BEF's/JB4 end up support the XDI HPFP once they release it? i know MHD said their OTS would support he HPFP once they become released.

Just installed mine last week, and so far the difference in smoothness is huge, especially under partial throttle, which has made normal driving significantly better. Only gripe I have is with cruise on it’s a bit more jerky when it tries to maintain by slowing, but I don’t get to use that much anyways. I’m FBO with the ER IC, E25, and running map 5. I haven’t had a chance to do too many 3rd gear runs, however the few I have I’m getting quite a bit less boost than before, but all the fueling and ignition parameters are good. Timing jumped a little from 2.1 to 3.5 but is coming down, yet the boost still seems fairly low, about 3psi below target. I’ve always been a little short of target, but previously the targets were higher and PWMs were maxed (no boost leak, turbo maxed out) instead of very low. I’ll try to upload a log later but the targeting seems to be different. Usually when you reset map 5 timing starts out high, though it didn’t do that until after a couple runs. Does the BEF reset and it’s just relearning without the initial timing adjustment or is there something else I should play with in user adjustment? I know a lot don’t run map 5 but in AZ my weather and gas varies between good and abhorred pretty routinely. A quick example:
6k rpms, 3rd gear
Boost: 9.55
Target: 12.30
AFR; 12.8
PWM: 10
Trims: 18
IAT: 103 (ambient here...)
Avg ign: 3
LPFP: 0
HPFP: 12
The boost/target at around 4.5k is even further apart 15 vs 11, with PWM at 11 and IATs at 106.

Yeah, sorry about that. Figured I'd research and type it out while waiting at my kid's taw kwon do graduation. Attached is the log, it's not an ideal run but shows 3rd between 4.5k and 6.5k. Previously boost was about 1psi below target, but around 13psi at 6k in 3rd.

Here are two more logs, a slightly longer pull post BEF (the one dated in May), as well as a previous log before BEF (the one dated in March). You can see the substantial difference in boost since then, no other changes besides BEF.

Have you done this step?
6) Set FutureUseD #6 on. This is going to become the universal F series flag to let the JB4 know you've equipped the vehicle with a back end flash map triggering whatever tuning changes we want to happen on the JB4 end as a result.

Yes, it was turned on right before I did the initial MHD flash/install.
I tried it on map 2 as well last night briefly with the same results, so it doesn't appear to be map 5 related.

One other thing, the car whistles like a mofo from the diverter valve. It was noticeable before but far more significant now, like almost any time I let off the throttle, heavy or light. I know the PWM being low is a factor for the boost issue, but I'm not sure about the interaction. Is the PWM showing what is being commanded, or is it sensing what's happening, i.e., could it be low due to a faulty component, such as the diverter valve? I've always missed boost by a psi or so and after endless testing and great support from BMS it was determined that the factory turbo was likely maxed out with my IC. Perhaps it's gotten worse and the BEF amplified it, or it's coincidence that it started dying and I didn't notice since I don't get on it much and didn't do so until testing the BEF?

Logs make no sense to me, but it's F series PWG so that is always a headache. I'd guess you failed to cut the diode and enter the right settings when converting over to ISO. Either way refer all F series PWG logs and assistance to this thread: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=47223

I have a new enough version that there wasn’t any cutting for the diode involved, at least not in the install instructions. It also ran fine or close to it minus a psi or so until the BEF. I’m going to flash back to stock BEF and see if it’s remedied, if not then I’ll go back to looking at boost or diverter in case something died between my last WOT log and the ones after the BEF.

When converting to ISO you will need to cut this diode, depending on which board you have.
