Unhappy BMW M5 F10 with pure turbos stage 1 only 540whp - 04-03-2019, 09:24 PM

Good evening guys, sorry if i am posting this in the wrong place, having a hard time making power on my 2014 M5, any help or inputs would be appreciated.

Trying to figure out what seems to be the issue with my car.

Put the car on the dyno before BM3 tune and it made 532WHP and 550 or torque car had ********* at this point and no tune, after this my turbos went bad and i had Pure turbo rebuild them so my turbos are pure stage one. Did the BM3 stage two tune and the car made 572WHP at the same dyno and 659 of torque, after that i send the maps to Halim and he said my iAT where to high at the dyno, i am in south Florida so it is hot down here, So try it his beta stage two map and the car made 545whp and like 550 of torque, after this i replaced my intake filters, did the thermostat 90 degrees upgrade and change my coolant too to the BMW oem one. I had sent logs to Halim from BM3 after that and he says everything looks good that the car won't make any more power.

Took the car to active autowerke, compression on all cylinders is between 195 and 205, so they said is good, smoke test was good too, not sure where else to look anymore, they said my spark plug look orange, help me out let me know what do you think Terri?

Need JB4 datalogs to evaluate.

Sounds like you're not making boost or maybe just a low reading dyno?

Sorry to probe, i also did the 90c thermostat upgrade bought from ECS tuning but my dme kept coming out with a code named "1D2404 Map thermostat, line disconnected" after installing it.

Also, i checked and the wire harness to the thermostat is connected and not loose. Does yours have this issue? Though i felt that my fan kicked in earlier and temps are slightly lower now. Sorry to sidetrack and i appreciate your reply.

I did the thermostat update and the car does report a significantly lower coolant temp. Also, post a g*d damn JB4 log already. Nobody is going to be able to help with it. Doctor can't diagnose what disease you have without a checkup.. well the JB4 log is part of your checkup.

Sorry, my bad, Just assumed. All the same, you will get the best support from people who offer that tune. Each tune from different providers are a little different anyways.

Iím lean with meth at 22psi and trying to figure out why. Going to try 100 or 116 octane tomorrow and get rid of boost juice for 100% meth. New colder plugs and new coils too. Sounds like if youíre making the boost and not the power youíre leaning out and timing is adjusting for that.

Yandy, are you running ********* or do you still have cats?

if you still have the cats, have someone scope them through the O2 sensor fitting to see if they are partially plugged.

you noted you had orange plugs. the orange can be caused by octane booster additive (MMT) which can plug cats with manganese oxide and sulphate.
