If you need to ask you don't need to use it.

And for those of you that dont know, it says in the owners manual to start the car, let the rpm's sit where they normally sit which takes about 45 seconds, and then go drive the car MODERATELY so it can warm up the whole entire car, not just the motor. Theres a reason terry implemented a feature such as this because honestly going WOT with oil temps under 160 degrees ARE NOT GOOD FOR THE CAR OR TURBOS.... Especially the Turbos because they are oil and water cooled and the car needs to get up to temperature so it can lubricate its internal components of the Turbos...Everybody knows that oil looses its viscosity to lubricate properly when its cold.. Oil needs to be above 180 Degrees in my personal opinion but hey to each to there own....

Hey all 1st post here.

Just pulled the trigger on the Jb4+USB cable and can't wait till I receive it and install it.

I bought my car used and the previous owner had the Procede installed. Didn't like how it works, and right now I'm either facing couple of issues with it or with the car itself.

So I've decided to ditch it and install the JB4 and start fresh.

Great forum and many informative posts/threads. Cheers to that!!

I'm having fun with the gauge hijacking... I'm curious if there is any way to turn off the cold weather warning via JB4? That would be AWESOME

So I have a few questions about the JB4. First off, I have it installed and I am in love with the car with this tune.

When I go to get the car inspected (NJ) should I put it in MAP 0 or will I be fine in MAP 1?

When installing the BMS ********* will I pass inspection or no with the JB4, I will be keeping the secondary *** on the stock exhaust?

I am just trying to figure out the future with these parts, in the event I have to take them out, its not a big deal, but was just curious.

Map 0 and you will need the BMS ** Fix module to make sure you get 'readiness' which will be a pass for emissions. The ** fix tricks he OBD-II reader to think it has *** readiness.

When you turn map to 0, that fuxn gets disabled. And the emission inspector's obdII computer will detect the ******* **. Thus, you need that ** fix separately.

Getting there:

Nope, just tried that. I think it should say the version number next to it on the n54tech page. just like the firmware updates for the jb4 have the firmware version numbers.
