What? Stock intercoolers are fine, it's the HE that's terrible.

So when ordering, is it the heat exchanger or the ELITE heat exchanger? They boy have the exact same description, but one says elite and is $399 and the other is $299.

299 one is made overseas, 399 one is made in MURICA. Both are heat exchangers. The Q50 intercooler resides in the engine bay. It's not a front mount intercooler like you've seen in the past

just downloaded the latest firmware for the vr30 jb4 Bluetooth, I cant select engine type in the settings, it doesn't exist, is this the norm now?
Also is there a link to a more technical side of each value I can select and change in the app?

Hello guys and i am exited to join this team, I have recently purchased a 2019 Q50 Silver Sport, Right now this car is at 3,500 miles and its been giving me problems, At 3,000 miles my Fuel Injector was broken this was after the installation of my JB4 tune with BMS Cable , i don't know if this happened because of the tune or because it was the manufacturer defect ( The Fuel Injector was replaced) After I have taken the car to the highway full throttling it malfunction icon popped out and the check engine light is on also, I have updated the jb4 with the latest update but maybe i downloaded the wrong update, if you guys could send me the up to date update for this car that would be perfect, also I was just wondering on the data log on how to properly record, do you click start logging before you start moving or while you are moving on 3rd gear before 2,500, because i have tried data logging and after i click stop and view nothing shows. I have been running the car on map 5 with 93 octane but recently went to map 3 because of all the issues ive been having. Thanks again for reading this and hopefully I could fix the issue, other than that it is night and date from stock to this tune.

Not possible for the JB4 to damage a fuel injector so likely unrelated, maybe something to do with running more power exacerbating a factory defect sooner than it would have otherwise shown up.

You have to be wide open throttle for the logging to be active if you don't press the button to start logging.

Terry, can you confirm the current map profiles and target boosts for each? A couple people on the forum mentioned different numbers:
Quote:
I logged Map 1, Map2, and Map3.
Map1 target was 4psi
Map2 target was 5psi
Map3 target was 3psi (yes 3psi)
|
Can you also confirm if there is still an engine selection under settings? I do not have it in my current jb4 app with the latest vr30v7 firmware.
Additionally is there a source for a more technical explanation of each parameter in the user adjustment settings?

shoot for one of the tapered boost curves, maxing at like 6 psi, and post a log. Try to get a higher gear log as that's when knock/timing drops will be more prominent.

Default Boost Targets -
06-15-2019, 03:25 PM
Would anyone be able to help me find what the default boost targets for Map 1 and Map 2 on the JB4 (latest firmware) are? I'm playing around with Map 6 at the moment and would love a baseline to work off of. Thanks in advance!
