overboost starting 5000rpm and the throttle.....
DB 50 all around, map 2, e40, mhd jb4 e85 bef, fuel-it stage 2, FF gain enabled.

Should I lower DB from 5000 and above?

Thank you.

Hey guys got a question, i believe this is the right thread to ask. So i have a 07 335, i got fbo as well as vargas gc lite 2.0's, vrsf aluminium relocation inlets, vvto aluminium outlets, index 12 injectors, ngk plugs 1 step colder, occ, rb pcv... Im pretty much all set, heres my questions... im on stock fuel system right now, stock lpfp & stock hpfp question 1 can my car run like this on 93 octance after i load the pump hybrid turbo bef ? Question 2 if so will it be ok to run ? Question 3 i want 600whp but e85 is about 45 minutes away from me in any direction... Whats my best option ? Direct port meth ? 93 octane is all around me in New Jersey just not many e85 stations... So what will it take to make 600wheel with 93... Stage 2 lpfp & port meth ? Or do i pretty much need pi & e85 ?

Hey there Pat_62400, I run VTT Stage 1 hybrids with FBO and really like their products. Had to say that as there is mixed reviews in these forums.

Question 1 can my car run like this on 93 octane after i load the pump hybrid turbo bef ?:
Yes - I strongly suggest performing the recommendation by Terry of running map 2 and logging and also answers question 2.

Question 2 if so will it be ok to run?:
Yes - caveat you perform logging and make sure everything is running correct.

Question 3 i want 600whp but e85 is about 45 minutes away from me in any direction...What is my best option?

Move closer to e85

So what will it take to make 600wheel with 93... ?

The following information is from Tony's (VTT's website)

VTT PI OR Shotgun HPFP

Now I will speak to my experiences. Even with my tiny little Stage 1 hybrids (compared to your GC lites) I have fueling issues when pushing 26+ psi.

I was experiencing lean conditions - resulting in changing to map4, EKPS errors of too high amps and voltages... etc. After many logging hours, changing out EK module (recoded) and adjusting parameters (per many helpful threads) I believe I have worked out my fueling issues. To obtain the correct combination of parameters is a result of over 2000 miles and 150+ log files.

I can't stress it enough to folks on here to log, log, log.

I have access to e85 and run 100% e85 all the time...My fueling setup:

LPFP DeatschWerks DW400
VTT port injection with BMS controller

The above combo works for me and is really reliable. I'm now wishing I went with GC's.

My entire setup:
VTT Stage 1 hybrid with billet compressor
VTT inlets and outlets
Phoenix Racing charge pipe
Phoenix Racing E chassis race FMIC
Turbosmart Raceport BOV
Performance Fueling Solutions Port Injection with BMS controller
DM400 LPFP
RB PCV Valve
BMS OCC
Stage 2+ Mfactory racing clutch kit with SMFW
Of course JB4 with BEF
sans kittie's d0wnp1p3's

Hi I'm running a pair of comp turbo upgraded internals turbos but having a hard time hitting target boost do I need to be on a back end flash map in order to hit target boost?

Default Target boost issue - 10-30-2018, 02:49 PM

Hi terry I'm having trouble hitting target boost I have upgraded internals from comp turbo. Do I need to be running a back end flash map in order for the tube to account for the larger compressor wheel?

So im about 1 or 2 days a way from starting my car ! As i stated im on Vargas gc lite 2.0's as well as inlets, outlets and full bolt ons... Will only be on 93 octane for now... so is 1st start as simple as updating my jb4 firmware, using the default settings on page 1 & map 2 and using the mhd pump bef ???

Yup! Start with map 1 and post log in the support section so we can check it out. MHD Pump BEF since you'll be on 93 for now.

So i literally only have to copy the page 1 settings into my jb4, run pump bef & go map 1 and then do data logs to send in... This is why i love this platform !

Well i did a full engine swap with new injectors also, so i will be coding injectors 1st an prime them (ignition off and on multiple times never start the motor) then figured i would just unplug the injectors and crank motor to prime motor and turbos... Good plan or no ?

Hi guys, new to the forum and am really looking for some help.
I have a 2007 n54 335i with manual transmission.

The car is fbo with stage 2 turbos.
All I have atm is a JB4 running map 5 but boost is taking forever and kicking in at 4000 rpm
I have not got a MHD Bef
And also do not have any setup on my turbos
My question is do I need a bef to run the turbos or can I just setup the hybrid turbos as thread 1 suggests?
I will be getting a bef but sometime next month.
Many thanks

Default New Pure Stage 2 N54 install- shuttering/backfiring - 11-25-2018, 01:47 PM

Hi Guys: Looking for some help with this log. Just finished the PS2 install and adjusted map 6 to reflect Terry's starting point recommendations on first page. Not hitting as much boost as targeted and the car is shuttering and backfiring. Can someone view the log and let me know if I need to adjust map 6?

Thanks for the help!

Im looking to run map 6 with pure stage 2 DDs running E50 with a stage 2 LPFP. Does anybody know what I should map my boost to in the JB4 settings page. I see that in Terry's main post the boost goes to 25 PSI. I think thats a little overkill especially with my fueling so I was wondering what I should start with.

Default Logs, Settings, Advice - 02-02-2019, 02:27 PM

Did a few runs with my buddies new ZL1 and my car did not seem to be running consistently at all. Attached are a few logs and my Map 6 settings along with a code I received twice during WOT.

Had about 4-5 gal of E85 mixed in the tank as well. Just wanted to make sure my settings were ok and to see what else might need adjusting to get more consistent behavior.

**just installed Eldor Coils and NGK 2 Step Colder plugs gapped at .020 last week**

Thanks in Advance!

Hi terry. I just did a log for map 6. Does it look good to turn up the boost? This is on 91 octane. Also how much boost can I run with 91? I will be getting a custome tune for e85 soon. But want to make sure map 6 is good to use as daily driving.

Thanks!

Terry, according to MMP 1k's you wrote. I will start with menu12 at 1500rpm, DB relatively flat let's say 50-58?

Will log map2 and post it.
