Default Which Turbo Choice - 02-24-2019, 07:20 AM

Hi guys.
I need some advice. I will be changing my manifold from open scroll to T3 twinscroll and also im going to change my turbo from GTX3576R to either GTX3582R or the GTX3584R.

I need advice on which turbo you N55 single turbo guys would choose

7+7 4" AS GTX3584R turbo .82 T3 twin scroll Nissan RB25DET RB30


Ball Bearing Turbo 4" .70 Twisted GT3582R w/ .82 T3 Twin Scroll

Are you not happy with your current set up?
I would think it's a lot of coin and effort for a small gain?

I want to change my manifold to t3 twinscroll and do bigger turbo. At the moment im at 26 psi doing 450wkw. But i want more. So i want to go the GTX3584R. But dont want a laggy laggy turbo.

Im going with the GTX3584R 11 blade. 6762mm. Also changing my manifold to twinscroll. Will keep u updated

I am at the same power level and want more. But not enough to change setups. Plus how much more is the question. Im thinking of just upping boost a little and add some NOS. I have plenty of octane.

I think you made the right choice between the options you are considering. I dont think it will be overly laggy, and you can always play with the vanos to gain a few hundred RPM spool.

Thanks buddy. Ya think also it will be a awsome turbo. Keeping it Bottom mount and changing Twinscroll will help allot.

Hey Jacques, seems like a good choice and given our 3l displacement it should be marginal in the lower rpm range. If we were working with 2l then it would probably be different.

I think the gtx may also be worth a bit more power Vs the gt.

Are you still bottom mount? No issues with one of these and steering column?

Yes the GTX3584R is a 1000hp turbo. My current GTX3576R is same size. Just smaller wheels. Yes i will still be bottom mount but changing my manifold completely and making it also twinscroll.

Mate, I'm about to go 6266. I gues you would strongly advise going twinscroll mani and turbo?
