I need better logs. Get me log on map 1 for now.

Start in 3rd or 4th gear from about 2k rpm till redline, make sure pedal is 100% for consistent data.

Hi,

Make sure you have entered all the default values shown on the JB4 installation instructions. I had a similar problem and that did it for me. Map 2 is great at 93 and 3 should be really good for your octane.

For me, with 93 octane, map 6 at 5 psi flat seems best. Remember that timing is just as important as boost.

Enjoy

Still, just glancing at the WOTs, you should run them as requested by Payem…..start at 2000, wide open to 6000+, in 3d only. Also, remember that depending on the map, auto adjust will take several runs to settle out.

Can we still run jb4 as a pass through tune with CAN functions active? Or that's gone now that there is a Valet map?

You mean for flash tunes?

To be able to log without jb4 intervention to stock dme tune?

Edit: I suppose that could be used for logging a flash tune also, and add jb4 functions like guage hijacking, etc., I guess you guys don't like that? Or it doesn't work?

No answer?

If anyone is wondering, it looks like on the test build map 0, jb4 will log the oem dme, but has no CAN functions like guage hijacking.

Has anyone tried build 9 with map 4? Will this allow full jb4 functions with oem dme tuning? Or I need to try it on my own to test? Lol?

Firmware 9 Map 4 is an OEM tune with full JB4 functionality like logging and gauge support.

Firmware 11 Map 4 is a valet map with full JB4 functionality but reduced boost. You can log on Map 0 for baselining and benchmarking even without hijacks.

Running map 6 17psi flat boost but running high on afr 15-16 with maxout fueltrim at 50!

Being experimenting with diffrent firmware, lower psi, high FOL at 90....but nothing happens to AFR or fuel trim in map 6. Runs great with low afr in map 1, 2 and 3.

Do I need FF-wire?
Driving a Bmw 320i 2018(B48) with JB4 brought late 2018

Best regards// Rasmus

BMS has essentially said two main things about the FF wire:
- FOL settings don't do a thing if you don't have the FF wire
- FF wire is for people doing more experimental things and analysis and is generally not needed for most setups

So you can evaluate. It's a low-cost/low-risk add-on, so you may spring for it anyway and see if it helps - it allows for adjustments to FOL which are helpful if you're going to be raising octane via Boostane, meth, or ethanol.

Looks okay, what fuel are you using? Go to map 2 and get a log first.

Are you trying with ignition on, engine off? There was a change made we adjusted for awhile back.
