Is the JB4 software interface compatible with a MAC Book?

Nope but you could use virtualbox and host a windows7 installation on your macbook. VB is free, Win7 not so...

You can download the beta release of Windows 8 for free. Should work fine.

I use Parallels Desktop with Windows 7.

Both free.

I thought this was the case. Another forum member is a first time user with the JB4 and he has a Mac Book. I suggested he get the "Terry Special" (ACER netbook) and call it a day.

Yep. Both were good to go. It's Parallels 6. The only downside is that it wouldn't run on Lion because I couldn't update it.

Ended up borrowing a friends Parallels 7 disc and just using a key blocker to get it going.

Works perfectly.

Someone needs to create a write-up on this. I can do it but i dont have a mac book. I could make one if people would like just on the basics of virtual machines using a linux computer.

Also, there are some cracked versions of windows 7 on the internet if you search hard enough. Windows XP is even easier to find.

What I meant by my post is we should create a write-up so that people who dont understand how to do it can figure it out. I would suggest the virtual guest on a host method for beginners because of its simplicity. Those who want to dual boot can but its not suggested for a beginner who has never installed an OS before. This is a good idea because people will come asking questions here before they google. That is just typical forum behavior.

I just wanted to share that I built a Windows 7 VM on VMware Fusion, loaded the JB4 USB driver(s), installed the JB4 interface, plugged my macbook pro into the JB4 and got connected.

When initially plugging in the JB4 USB cable the mac prompted me for a connection to either OSX or Windows, and provided a checkbox to remember this selection. So that old Dell windows laptop with the battery which lasts 12 minutes can go back into storage.

Same here, no problems. Also, the boot camp partition & windows install was about as easy as it gets
