Default SMFW and clutch - 06-21-2020, 04:54 PM

$520 Shipped

This is a Turner Motorsports single mass flywheel and a stock F10 550i Clutch rated for 440ft lbs. It has about 2000 miles (1000 highway) It has 8 bolts for the crankshaft.

I had to upgrade to a twin disk as this setup could not hold the power and would rip the clutch loose if the engine made any kind of boost. I drove it like a granny shifting under 4k rpm and light throttle once I realized it was an issue but as you can see it got a little burnt the few times it couldn't hold. This was installed a few months ago. I paid over 800 for it.

Im interested in this setup, how was the engagement compared to stock? Did it create transmission noise at idle? Did you notice any difference in engagement after slipping the clutch? Thanks, -Seth

I did not see a big difference from stock It was a nice setup, smooth engagement. It continued to drive like normal I just had to keep the car out of building high boost so I would shift by 4k rpm.

As for sound I only noticed a slight rattle when in neural with the clutch pedal out. I also added a steel pivot pin for the fork I don't think that helped.

I would have kept it had I not over modded the engine (I was also having an overboosting issue at that time)

Has the flywheel ever been resurfaced? Would you sell it separately?

Appreciate the offer but I will pass. Looks like alot of heat was thrown at it so it should be resurfaced prior to using again.
