Default 3.5 tmap sensor - 12-28-2016, 11:29 PM

So i was checking it out and my buddy said it boosted up his psi by like 2, do i just plug and play? Or do i have to get something done for it to push up the boost? My mods are just jb4 g5, intakes and intercooler

3.5bar tmap sensor is needed if you push your boost beyond capabilities of stock tmap (as i remember 21 psi)

with that mods i doubt you will hit that boost

The sensor doesn't increase your boost. It allows you to run higher then 21(ish)psi. if you plan to run FBO, upgraded turbos, single turbo, etc, then I would suggest getting it as you'll most likely want to run higher boost levels.

Make sure you set the JB4 up properly and tell it you have the N20 map

Your buddy is an idiot. It doesn't increase boost PSI, it simply has a wider range than the stock sensor. However, you MUST change the tune (or settings in the JB4) when you install the sensor otherwise it will not run correctly.

It raises the boost range from ~20psi to ~36psi. You'll need the adapter on our site, the sensor from BMW, and then to tell the JB4 you have a 3.5bar TMAP sensor on its settings page.
