Basically the only reason a flash would fail is human error. Make sure your device is near fully charged. Make sure your car's battery voltage stays above 12v by using a battery charger or using jumper cables to another running car. While the flash is occurring, do not open or close doors, Windows, touch switches.. Etc.. And do not touch the INPA cable. When I flash, I open my driver window, plug the INPA cable in to the car and phone, get out of the car, and close the door. And just work the phone thru the window and put the phone on the drivers seat while flashing and don't touch it till it's absolutely complete.

About how long did it take you for the jb4 backend flash because I'm also worried about my phone dying.

If you start with a fully charged phone you have no worries.

Many thanks!
Not sure what you're talking about but run the latest JB4 PUMP BEF if using 93 octane no meth.

You know you don't have to flash back to stock to update the map.. right? Just flash the newest map, should take 2 min.

What map should we be using for Meth? My car doesn't seem to like the MHD e85, pump or race back end flashes.
Best results to date have been the BB e85 flash. Anyone else find this?
Frustrating since i dumped quite a bit of cash into the MHD software.

MHD shift light is displayed on the Android devices while running the MHD gauges. Which is not compatible with a running JB4. Basically, MHD shift light is flash only.

For meth, race flash. Post log in the support section if you have issues.

I just installed the jb4 pump backend flash today. Only took 22 minutes. How long should it be before I expect a difference in power from the flash?

Almost right away? It's not gonna be huge massive 50hp gains, but smoother power, you should notice it fairly quick. Also make sure you set your jb4 correctly, menu 4 needs to have option 2 on.

Anyone using hybrid BEF? Is e85 hybrid map working properly?

If I'm looking for a base pump map to play with in tuner pro and flash as a standalone, could I use the backend pump? If I'm not mistaken, it can be used as a standalone.

Get the ZIP package at https://github.com/dmacpro91/BMW-XDFs
Along the updated xdf, there's the good v8bait Excel file to get you started self tuning flash only.

Thanks Martial. I actually already have the xdf. I guess what I meant was I am looking for a .bin file of a pump tune to play with. I tried to find the MHD stage 1 maps that I purchased on my phone but it looks like they can't be accessed. I just want to mess with a few things such as making a ghost cam map for fun, etc.
