Anybody know? With E85 costing a fraction of premium, I’m wondering what it would take, or if it’s even possible, to run my 22 X3 M40i on straight E85? I know stock the manual says up to E25. And supposedly the 22s aren’t flashable without sending the DME to Russia so a backend E85 flash isn’t happening. So are there any other options to allow a greater percentage?

Max ethanol content will be different for each car (and changes with temperature).

The best thing you can do is get a good map on 93, then start mixing in e85 until your trims start hitting close to 45.

If you get to a mixture of e30ish if your trims are still below 45 add boost (go up a map or increase settings in your custom map)

IMO a fuel it sensor is 100% required.

I have a Supra, I can get about 20psi at e25 and have decent logs but fuel trims are close to maxed and when it gets colder than 55* outside trims max out which isn’t ideal and can lead to lean AFR.
