I’m not sure I even want to update it because I think my firmware auto clears the Cel for the ********* ? Is this correct. Also I think I have 7 settings instead of the 8 on the new firmware is there a guide on this old version?

It's an older firmware. No additional information or documentation is maintained on older versions, sorry.

So I guess there is no old versions of firmware to downgrade to ? Is it possible to same my firmware before I upgrade ?

You can't go back to some older firmware versions after updating. You can't save your firmware.

So you would rather miss out on the latest features and bug fixes available with the current firmware, just so you can keep an auto-CEL clear functionality that can also be (manually) achieved in a few seconds via the steering wheel controls?
