JB4 Mobile What’s Update

13 August 2019

Return to Form

Welcome back. Another major application update is on the rise and with it another breakdown with what to expect.

Cutting straight to the chase – let’s begin...

More in Common Than You Think…

Both iOS and Android are now on their way to being mirror images of each other. Regardless of which operating system you prefer, this update is intended to aid in creating a more uniform experience across either platform from now on.

Your feedback from the ongoing betas, for either device, has helped to incur this level of progress and is greatly appreciated.

If you wish to contribute your own feedback, information for either beta can be found below:

Graphing - Both operating systems are receiving an extensive overhaul in this department, specifically that the experience with the graphing library should be very similar between either.

However, one particular request from the Android camp has been the use of graphing functions akin to what's found on iOS devices. In short – your request has been granted. Android-users are also receiving the same value-overlay (or marker view) screen that iOS has had. Simply slide the graph view to hide the overlay screen.

FUD - After the device update, FUD will be renamed as ‘Options’. Text sections within this area have also been simplified.

Toggle Switches - Toggle switch colors on Android now match the green/gray schema found in the iOS counterpart.

These changes will be found starting in the following builds:
iOS – 2.3.9
Android – A278

In The Pipe

As noted above, the refurbished graphing functions were a considerable focus for this update. Please expect to see the drag-and-drop interface procuring next. More code reading updates are also on the way. More details on that soon.

Stay tuned...

Cheers!

-Miles
