Default Made it into the 11's! - 09-04-2016, 03:30 PM

Hi guys,
very happy to say that I've also just made it into the 11's on stock turbos and street legal (Toyo R888) tyres! After almost a year since going 12.2@120, today I went 11.79@119. My biggest issue has been getting the car to launch well with the DCT box. My 60ft times have often been around 2.5 seconds. This was at Santa Pod in England. Even when I've thought I was going to make a good start, the track often lacked grip and just saw the wheels spinning. This is a really tough venue.

A few weeks back the track was really sticky but on the 3 occasions I used the 3600rpm launch control with my flashed transmission, the car bogged and almost stopped completely.

I think the clutch was coming in too quick for the level of grip and the rpms.

So today the track was also nice and sticky. I just engaged LC to blip the revs up to around 2500rpm and then went for the gas. This must ease the clutch in just that little bit more gradually because the car took off without bogging. Luckily traction control did not kick in this time like it often has when the track is greasy! It's far quicker launching at 2500rpm than at idle which saw me do a 2.6sec 60ft when I tried it.

So now to go much quicker I suppose I need to consider upgraded turbos.

First run of the day saw me kicked into map 4 as the meth lines hadn't been completely purged of air.

Nice work mate!! DCT launches are the worst!

Would like to see you back it up again!

@Terry should spend some time in working out how to control the rpm setting for DCT's!

Thanks guys. It's been possible in large parts due to your great products. The stage 2 pump, the jb4 and the way it has been setup to allow back end flashes and meth control. Transforms the car.
